Security
We understand that your possessions are dear to you and this includes your bikes. You will be pleased to know that the garage is protected by an alarm system that transmits photographs of any intruders to a mobile phone.
Numbers
This property can comfortably sleep 10 adults. However, this would involve up to 3 people in the 2 bunk-rooms and a short queue for the bathroom. If you value your home comforts and want no more than one or two in each bedroom you may wish to limit your numbers to 6. If you're up for a sporting or adventurous training weekend/week, then you should be fine with 10. There are additional showers and bathrooms at the Mountain Bike centre – for a small charge.
Rent rates & other information
Prices vary, please use the bookings page for a quote.
If you have any special or last minute requirements, let us know and will try to accommodate you.
Check in time is 3:00pm and check out is normally at 11:00am
However, let us know if you prefer a different time and we will be flexible if possible. You can't enjoy a holiday and relax if you have to work to a regimented schedule!
Single Night Stays
You are more than welcome to stay for a single night, although we would be surprised that you could come to such a beautiful place for such a short visit. However, a single night stay will be subject to a supplement and a minimum charge. Please ask for a quote.
House Rules
No smoking indoors please.
Quiet Hours 10pm-8am – please respect our neighbours. No wild parties!
Overnight guests strictly limited to those booked.
£100 security deposit may be requested.
Up to 2 well-behaved pets welcome. Downstairs only and not on furniture. Again, flexibility is our middle name, so we are open to requests and suggestions.
Family Friendly
On request, and free of charge, we will provide you with; 2 travel cots, a high chair and a dining booster seat. If you do not need these, they will be stored out of your way. There are lots of games, including darts, that are suitable for adults as well as children.
Ventilation / Dampness
As this is a very old house, it's only way to breathe is through the windows. If you keep the windows closed 24/7, the rooms will get damp and potentially mouldy. If you feel this would be a problem, then this house may not be what you are looking for.
Midges in Summer
Unfortunately, in the nice weather Glyncorrwg can be affected by midges. You can get eaten alive unless you use some form of protection. However, with precautions, we find people are able to get on and themselves. We will advise you further after booking, but let us know if you need more info beforehand please.More

About the neighbourhood
Glyncorrwg
Glyncorrwg village is set in the beautiful Afan Valley in south Wales far enough away from the madding crowd to enjoy some peace and quiet but close enough to get to – less than an hour from Cardiff.
History
Glyncorrwg was once an important coal-mining centre, typical of the South Wales Valleys. With the end of the coal mining industry during the 1970s, buildings were cleared away, factories closed and people left the area to find new employment. In 1990 the local community decided to take advantage of the local scenery and complemented it with a series of ponds along the narrow valley. Trout fishing, coarse fishing, and canoeing are now popular sports in the area, plus miles of old flat railway trackbed lines and steep mountain slopes An old coal mine at Glyncorrwg a f...
How to get there
Don’t consider yourself lost at any point. We show you how you can easily get here by road or rail.
Our holiday home is located near the edge of Glyncorrwg village a few miles north of Maesteg town.
By Road – Just 13 miles from the M4
Leave the M4 at Junction 36 and follow the A4063 towards Maesteg. After you have passed Llangynwyd village, look for the B4282 on the right and follow this road through Garth. Keep straight on and you will rejoin the A4063 just the other side of Maesteg town centre. Follow this road through Dyffryn, Caerau and Croeserw. At the bottom of the hill after Croeserw, go straight on at the crossroads towards Glyncorrwg. See more detailed directions here.
Alternatively – Coming From The West – or Traveling at Peak Times.
