Our group was 3 adult women, so one person had to sleep in a child's bunk bed. Since I had indicated 3 adults on the search criteria, we were disappointed in that. Also, that same room needs a blackout shade or curtain as a very bright light across the courtyard shines into the bedroom. We liked the location; we thought the apartment was well equipped -- we enjoyed the convenience of the washer/dryer, coffee pot and refrigerator. The two larger beds were both very comfortable.

We travelled to Kinsale for the yearly Kinsale Shark Awards, on business.
The apartment suited our needs perfectly, what with there being two bathrooms, and it being fully kitted out for an extended stay. We quickly fell into the pace of life in Kinsale.
On top of the Gerardine was an amazing host. Fast to reply, and incredibly helpful with fantastic restaurant recommendations. We will be back, for sure!

This property is clean, light and bright, with lovely decor and the comfiest sofas I've sat on! The kitchen has all equipment you might need and there's even basics in the cupboards like salt, teabags etc.
Kinsale itself is just beautiful. It's like an artist's version of a little holiday village. There's an abundance of pubs and restaurants, quirky little gift shops, art galleries and more. Lovely walks and a clean sandy beach.
We will certainly return to Kinsale and would rent the same apartment in a heartbeat!

I was was super clean and very accommodating for our
Family. Location was perfect, walking distance to harbor and town. host was very quick to respond to our concerns.. beds were super comfortable and gathering area in living room was very nice.
The only things we did not like was the host, had a washer and dryer in the unit but it took a very long to do a load. Getting up at night and doors were very loud so getting up throughout the night was interrupting others sleeping.
The parking spaces were so small that there was no room on either side to open your doors once in your parking space.
Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and location

Gerardine was a wonderful host! Very responsive to questions during the stay. The place was very clean and comfortable, and gave very helpful directions for turning things on/off. Only not great thing was the self-closing (slamming) doors. But def not a deal breaker! The washer dryer in the apt was great, as was the view and the beautiful windows. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. ❤️

Gerardine and Kevin’s Shearwater condo is clean and spacious. Featuring a great location, It is a very short walk to all that Kinsale has to offer. Onsite gated parking is also a plus. I have stayed there several times. I highly recommend this host and property.

Das Apartment ist wirklich super, es fehlt nichts....
Das Apartment ist wirklich super, es fehlt nichts. Während unseres zweiwöchigen Aufenthaltes wurde das Apartment nach der ersten Woche sogar, ohne zusätzliche Kosten, gereinigt. So etwas haben wir selten erlebt.
Die Parkmöglichkeiten in Kinsale sind etwas begrenzt, aber wenn man etwas sucht, findet man immer einen Parkplatz. Sehr zweckmäßig ist es, dass zu dem Apartment ein Stellplatz in einer Tiefgarage gehört. Leider konnten wir diesen nicht nutzen, da die Einfahrthöhe zur Tiefgarage auf 2,10 m begrenzt ist und wir mit unserem Dachgepäckträger bei 2,35 m lagen.
Kinsale ist wirklich ein typisches irisches Städtchen mit schönen Restaurants, gemütlichen Pubs und guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, so dass wir abends nie Langeweile hatten. Morgens haben wir regelmäßig im "Vista Cafe" (im Erdgeschoss direkt unter dem Apartment) gefrühstückt, tagsüber haben wir Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung gemacht (z.B. in Blarney Castle den Stein geküsst), Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigt oder waren zum Hochseeangeln auf dem Meer. Wir konnten während unseres Aufenthaltes u.a. mehrere gute Blauhaie fangen.
Wir werden das Apartment auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und auch selbst bestimmt wieder kommen.
