This charming detached bungalow is situated in the small hamlet of Lendalfoot, only 5 miles from the seaside town of Girvan with harbour, shops, pubs and restaurants, and boasts stunning views over the sea to Ailsa Craig. For Golf lovers we are only 15 minutes drive from Turnberry Golf Course and offer comfortable accommodation at a fraction of the prices charged in Turnberry itself! Lendalfoot as the name suggests, is a hamlet located at the foot of the Lendal Water, which flows at the bottom of the garden at SeaBrise cottage. The village is on the curve of Lendal Bay, which is a mile long unspoilt sandy beach. To the south of the village is an excellent off road picnic area, with a sandy beach and excellent views up and down the coast. When the tide is out you can walk out to the rocks and spot the seals swimming and basking. The accommodation : All on ground floor: Living room. Kitchen. 1 Double bedroom. 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower cubicle and toilet. Facilities :Fully equipped kitchen ,TV, DVD Player, Free Wifi, Freesat Television, Ipod docking station/speakers, Washing Machine, Microwave Oven. Garden : Lovely laid out lawns with Rattan Furniture in a sheltered porch area allowing great views of “the craig” Gas central heating, Bed linen and towels provided. Had a great few days at seabrise cottage,spotless.Lovely sea views, garden was beautiful.Garden is well maintained, lovely at nite with all the solar lights lit up.Went to port Patrick for the day,highly recommended.Will definitely book again. Thanks from Anna, Alex & Skye our black labxx

Once again the cottage was pristine on arrival. Enclosed garden is great for the dog and about 3 minutes walk from the beach. Ideal for a mini family break.

About the neighbourhood
Girvan is situated about 21 miles south of Ayr, on the coast. Girvan is thought to have evolved from a tiny fishing village, with a number of small boats specializing in catching herring where the River Girvan enters the sea. Due to high taxes imposed on imported goods in the 1700s & 1800s, fishing boats at Girvan were used for smuggling, helping to transfer goods from larger ships onto the mainland without paying the taxes. By the 1800s, Girvan harbour was used to export grain, coal and lime, and the town grew more when companies from Glasgow opened factories for the weaving of cotton-cloth. In 1963, William Grant & Sons built a distillery about two miles north of the town. The rail line from Glasgow reached Girvan in 1860, leading to the town being promoted as a beach resort. The tow...
