Spent a lovely week at Flaxpool Well. The surrounding countryside is beautiful - loads of walks in the area and some lovely dog friendly pubs and restaurants. Kitchen and facilities within cottage are probably more suited to a short break rather than a week.

Lovely two night stay whilst in Crowcombe for a wedding. So many little touches that made the stay homely - fresh milk in the fridge, biscuits in the cupboard when we arrived. The kitchenette was stocked with everything you would need including kitchen roll, cling...More

How to get there
We are 11 miles out of Taunton if driving on the 358 towards Minehead (see map).
You will pass a sign on the RIGHT to Triscombe, Flaxpool Garage will be on your LEFT. It does not sell fuel. Continue down a short steep hill. At the bottom on the LEFT there is a large signboard for the Crowcombe Village Shop and Carew Arms Pub, followed by a farm. machinery business. You will see three grain silos on the RIGHT side of the road.
Immediately after the machinery sheds and opposite the silos, there is a partly obscured track on the LEFT. Proceed down this track for 30M into an open area and turn RIGHT up a slope to The Well House and a barred gate. We keep this shut because of our dog. Phone in advance and we will have the gate open.

Alternatively you can exit the M5 at Junction 23 to B...
