The EcoVida Cabinas offer more economically and environmentally conscience travellers the opportunity to experience our area on a budget. Beautiful Bejuco beach is only a 5 minute walk away from our cozy cabins which are surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. Currently we have 3 cabinas available: Cabina Azul = 1 Queen Size Bed Cabina Morada = 1 King Size Bed Cabina Amarilla = 2 Queen Size Beds Designed primarily for singles or couples, but a family or group can certainly reserve two or more of the rooms, these rooms are built using sustainable and recycling concepts. We are proud of the rustic result and hope you will like it as well! We have used concrete for this structure, but are working on our partial “green roof” which insulates from heat and collects rain water for multiple uses. The doors and deck are created from locally recycled plastic to create a rustic wood-like appearance without the constant maintenance required for wood products at a tropical beach (cutting down on chemical treatments to maintain wood, while at the same time cleaning up our environment of plastic products disposed of daily). If you are interested and time permits we are happy to give you a small tour of our sustainable and permaculture techniques we use in our greenhouse, garden and throughout the property. We offer hot water in the kitchenette and bathroom (no suicide head showers!), while our high-powered wall fans provide plenty of breeze. We ask for a two night minimum stay and will generally only offer up to 3 weeks in these units at a time. Cleaning of the units are our guests’ responsibility, but we will have our cleaning staff clean the unit once per week if your stay is longer than this period of time and linens will be replaced then. If you are planning to stay in our area for more than 3 weeks, please let us know and we may be able to offer you other alternatives at a similar nightly cost. We are in the perfect position to offer a truly memorable vacation experience. A short walk down the street will get you to our beach, with miles of sand to explore. A 30 minute drive gets you to Jaco, one of Costa Rica's most popular tourist destinations full of activities, nightlife and restaurants. In the local area we have amazing restaurants in the communities surrounding us, such as Esterillos Oeste, a quaint surfer town -- or even the restaurants on our beach of Playa Bejuco. Our new Town Center which is just a few minutes down the road at the entrance to Playa Bejuco offers various restaurants, a supermarket, gym, day spa and various other new businesses coming all the time. Another 30 minutes the other direction on the highway gets you to Quepos and Manuel Antonio Park, one of the most impressive nature lover's paradise in Costa Rica. It’s a wonderful place to do a day trip, but you will find our accommodation much more tranquil than staying by the busy park. In either direction, you will find hidden gems of Tico living and things to see and do! You will not run out of things to do within a 30 minute drive! Relax at our beach and you will forget about everything but the sound of the ocean and wildlife around us. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: *Deposit: $100 for 2 weeks or less. $200 deposit for more than 2 weeks. *Cleaning: The cabinas will be cleaned before and after your stay. For longer stays we offer cleaning and changing of linens once per week. *Max Occupancy: Prices for the EcoVida Cabinas are based on an occupancy of 2 people. We have one larger cabina (Amarilla) that can sleep up to 4 people at an additional charge of $10/person for the 3rd and 4th person. *Length of stay: We have a 2 night minimum and prefer not to have long-term guests so restrict bookings to a maximum of 3 weeks. *A/C: At this time Cabina Amarilla is the only one with an A/C unit. This is not included in the base price and is an additional $10/night. We have made this optional so our guests can customize their price based on their needs. *Please: NO SMOKING ON THE PROPERTY and NO GUESTS. *Por favor: NO FUMADORES EN LA PROPIEDAD y NO HAY INVITADOS. Perfekt vacation
We Had a Great Time here. We Stay with 6 People. Everything was Fine and clear. Only the poolarea with 3 deckchairs, was Not enough for 6 People, so we had to Go to the Community Pool. Shannon was very friendly and help us to make our vacation to a Great experiance!

Great Cabinas close to the beach with a private pool!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time staying in Cabina 4. The property is beautifully maintained and has many lovely gardens and interesting fruit trees. If you ask, Shannon can take you on a tour of her green house! The pool and rancho areas were an awesome place to relax on all those hot days! The Cabina itself is outfitted with a perfect little kitchen and has the added features of an air conditioner and personal patio. The beds were super comfortable, I even got to sleep on brand new feather pillows! The Cabinas are located a short walk to a gorgeous beach, a small corner store and a larger city centre with a grocery store, restaurants and even a spa! Shannon and Dave were awesome hosts and their little dog, Maya, is such a sweet gal. I will definitely be staying at these Cabinas again on my next trip to Costa Rica! Thanks for everything!

Amazing experience
My mom and I traveled to Costa Rica for a much needed vacation. It was the one place we have both wanted to go to our entire lives but my mom wouldn’t have gone on her own. We were on a budget and I found Dave and Shannon’s place, which was in our price point. Even before arriving in Bejuco, Shannon was very helpful with answering questions and giving tips on things to do when we arrived. Their place was very comfortable and in a beautiful area just a short walk to the beach. I loved every aspect of our trip and Shannon helped to make it amazing with all the great advice and accommodating our needs. I miss it already and can’t wait to return.

Very clean, Reasonable price, very friendly and helpful staff.
We loved the Eco-friendly environment. Beach within walking distance and the nicest beach we have gone to in Costa Rica. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our many questions about the are. The room was very clean and was perfect for a few night's stay. The owners Dave and Shannon were great hosts who we enjoyed spending time with.

Great days at the beach
I had a great time at the EcoVida cabinas, Thank you Shannon and Dave for all your attention and recommendations around the area. The cabins are perfect for beach vacations and have all the amenities to feel in home.

My perfect getaway destination
Not everything in my life is work, when I need some quality relaxation I look forward to spending my time at Ecovida Cabinas. Where I can enjoy my vacation in comfort. I enjoy waking up to birds chirping and the waves splashing and try to get away to this destination every chance I get! Ecovida Cabinas pride themselves in making my stay as pleasant as possible and giving me insight on the best tours available. Whether its a hike through lush rainforest or a sunny beach sunday I will always have the best experience. Thanks Ecovida and Pura Vida!!!

Excellent eco-friendly simple rooms
Only a short walk to the beach in a really interesting rural area. We were just passing through towards manual antonio park but were sure glad we stopped. Bejuco beach is almost empty and such a great spot. Be careful of rip currents and there is a sign right on the beach about it. We have been in the area before but ecovida is unique with its cabina building and gardens and pursuit of sustainability. We would highly recommend the hosts cabinas and staff. Everything was great and we will certainly visit again. There is also a new shopping centre on the highway and we can't remember the name but we had excellent italian food and an overall great experience with everything at our fingertips.

Super cool but tripadvisor was not!
The cabinas are awesome. Ecofriendly and just pure heaven at good price, just a short walk to a empty beach that goes forever. We stayed there after trying to reserve on tripadvisor and ended up corresponding with the owner and finding them easily as we traveled down the coast. Tripadvisor basically lied to us though, this is what was sent to us after we booked through them and paid by paypal for a last minute stay - Your stay has been canceled. We're sorry the owner canceled your booking. Cancellations simply shouldn't happen. To make it up to you, you'll receive a full refund and we'll help you find a new rental fast. Simply call us on 1-855-898-2877 THIS WAS NOT TRUE!!! Eco vida cabinas was notified that WE canceled. THAT WAS NOT TRUE!!! We saw the proof and shared our proof with eco vida! Tripadvisor took our money and then canceled our booking without any reason so we just paid in cash when we got to Bejuco beach. It took a full day and an official complaint to paypal to get our money back from tripadvisor, it was like they were trying to sell us on something else other than the booking we made. We should have used airbnb. Not even an apology. The message sent even said that the refund came from the owner which is also a lie. They held the money and pitted us and the owner against each other.

We are compiling a report on this incident with the information you provided us and will be escalating this issue to the PM support team as the first-tier support seemed to care very little, unfortunately. We are hopeful that after 10 years of working with FlipKey/TripAdvisor, that the PM support team can resolve whatever issue caused this in the first place. Thanks again!

Very nice studio, confortable bed
Nice place, friendly people, kitchen correctly equipped, close to beach and quiet. A screen door would be nice, since no air conditioning. But a powerful fan is available.

Unfortunately, the design of the eco-cabinas did not accommodate screen doors for various reasons, security and insulation being a couple of them. If you choose to visit again, we do have an air-conditioned unit at a higher price, as per our website. Pura vida!
