Interaction with guests
We live on-site at La Richardière and so we can be on hand to organise Wine-Tastings, and advise about places to visit and things to do. On the other hand, we can blend in and be inconspicuous if guests prefer. We're always ready to listen to your needs and thoughts.

Thanks for choosing our Gites for your special time. We are so pleased you got to see the stars. There is so little light pollution here that the Milky Way is clearly visible on many evenings.

About the neighbourhood
La Richardiere is well-placed for visitors wishing to soak up the beauty and heritage of the Loire region. As well as numerous pretty villages within a few minutes drive of our location, we also have many historic towns within easy reach. Loches is a pretty, vibrant town just 25 minutes from La Richardière. The Logis Royal, which dates back to the Renaissance, overlooks the town from its hilltop position and is well worth a visit. On Wednesday mornings the historic town centre is filled by one of the loveliest markets in the Touraine. Also, close at hand, is the town of Descartes. Birthplace of the famous philosopher and mathematician Rene Descartes. There is a museum dedicated to him in the very house in which he was born. For outdoor ac
Getting around
We are in the 'middle of nowhere' yet in the middle of everything. The Loire is just one hour to the north giving access to all those lovely Chateaux, and there are plenty of small, historic towns within easy reach 20-30 mins. Locally, there is a market almost every day and many attractions for families and individuals. The roads are quiet, so driving, cycling or walking are all a great pleasure. There is a Bus service which runs from Grand Pressigny to Tours.
