“ House Seaside", built in 1920 and beautifully restored to most modern standards while maintaining it’s colonial style, is a charming coral stone building beautifully situated at the water's edge on the western end of Silver Sands beach. This elegant, colonial style house is a striking ocean front property.

Perfect Location But Amenities Could Be Better
Firstly, this is a perfect location, amazing beach and very peaceful and romantic. Wolfgang got us a good off-season price for our 20 Night Stay and upgraded us (for a price) to Seaside Cottage A.
The tower bedroom is amazing and the Cottage has 3 delightful Patio's / Decks. Also reasonably private. The staff were fairly friendly and always helpful.
However, Inchcape Villas would greatly benefit from Air Conditioning. Our Cottage had a fan and an extra one was provided but even these and the famous Tradewinds were not sufficient to overcome the high heat and humidity, when trying to sleep. By having the Fans on full blast, we had to turn the Television up loud, as they were noisy.
The pots and pans etc were very basic and no microwave, but the Bed was comfy. The steps up to the bedroom are stone and steep and not suitable to people unsteady on their Feet.
The only other point is that a Swimming Pool would have been fantastic, but the beautiful Beach was there to help cool off.
We had a wonderful stay but a few improvements would make this property that bit extra special.

Fantastic Views!!
the villa, Sunrise, is absolutely beautful. And by far the best spot to be in the island.
The beach is on the doorstep and the views of the sunrise along with the sea are outstanding. I was only visiting on a short trip, but i do highly recommendit to anyone visiting, and upon my return will book this villa again.
Its location is perfect for visiting either side of the island, and everything is within a short drive.

Perfect easy cheap low-key place to stay in Barbados
Pros:
Cheap way to get your own private villa on the beach
Very helpful and thoughtful owners and staff
Safety/Quality of Staff/Wolfgang
Dunes nearby is ideal location for windsurfing
Close to the Oistins fish fry - 5 minute drive by car
Waves crashing 40 feet from your bed is pretty cool
Cons:
Impossible to find without help from Inchcape staff the first time
Must have rental car
Beaches on this part of Island not the best, although great beaches are a short drive away
Neighborhood is very much a local area, not a tourist area.

Just perfect
Seaside Cottage A is perfect for a couple - with three decks you can enjoy the views and sun at any time of the day. We enjoyed an excellent ten days - the staff are very efficient and the property is well designed.

Charming treasure
Our family of four just spent one week at The Inchcape Villas in Christ Church located on the southern most point of Barbados. We rented "Sunset Downstairs" and our friends and their family rented "Court yard". Inchcape is a unique property, cosy and lush with cobble stones and palms and a feeling of intimacy. The property is even nicer than it looks on line. Each individual unit offers something unique. Our unit had a breath taking ocean view, while our friends in the court yard had a place with a more luxurious decor with a feel of the West Indies. Our unit looked right out to the ocean, which in the morning with coffee, or at night with wine was a lovely way to spent time with our family and friends. Our children could travel between units and visit each other, making us all feel connected and comfortable. I have long ago given up on hotels, finding the rooms too cramped for family vacations and the option of only coffee (usually made in your bathroom) unappealing! If staying in a villa or rental unit is more your speed, this is a great place. Now, heres the the thing you should know. You will need a car. We have two teenage boys who are strong ocean swimmers, but the Inchape beach is not ideal for swimming. Our family did go into the ocean there, but found the sloppy rough waters too frustrating. The tides are very rough, and the current is strong. This however, should not deter you from staying here. The nicest family beaches are 20 minutes away by car. We enjoyed Accra, where renting chairs and getting food of all kinds is a breeze. Surfing beaches are also within 15 minutes away if that is your interest. The strong winds surrounding Inchcape keep bugs away and keep you cool for sleeping which is lovely. the crashing waves are loud, but you really feel like you are in a heavenly place. The atmosphere at Inchcape is so magical that not being on a swimming beach is not enough of a reason to give up the beauty the property boasts. Great restaurants abound (i.e. Tapas) as well as BBQ joints for tradition island eats. I loved having inchcape as my home base. After a week there we got to know some of the other guests, making the stay feel more intimate than a large hotel. Norma and the housekeeping staff change your towels every three days, but you do need to supply your own bathroom soap and Beach Towels. If you staying out of a hotel compound, you must be looking for a more unique vacation experience. Wolgang can set up an airport pick up for around $20 and a car will be delivered to the property. Great find.

Wow...addormentarsi con il suono delle onde e svegliarsi con il canto degli uccellini...
Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per una settimana tra fine aprile ed inizio maggio.
La posizione è incredibile, situata sulla costa tra diverse cale e spiagge è possibile udire dalla camera il suono delle onde che infrangono la scogliera. Inoltre con una piacevole passeggiata di dieci minuti si può raggiungere la spiaggia di silver sand, mentre dalla parte opposta recarsi presso un localino dove sorseggiare un drink o una cena informale.
Il nostro appartamento (cottage B) è situato tra altre due unità. ha uno spazio interno comodo sia per cucinare che per mangiare. Le camere sono al primo piano (una matrimoniale + una singola). La casa non è provvista di vetri, salvo nella camera matrimoniale e questo a noi è piaciuto molto. Esistono le persiane tutt'intorno, che permettono all'aria e alla luce di entrare in funzione di come vengono inclinate e in tutta la casa gira una piacevole brezza. La mattina al nostro risveglio vedevamo dalla camera le fronde delle palme di cocco, che bellezza!
Abbiamo goduto anche della veranda esterna, dove c'è la possibiltà di aprire un ombrellone. Tutt'intorno alla struttura c'è un giardino con piante di frangipani, cocco ed altre specie e la vista è pazzesca. Consigliamo questa struttura a coloro che amano il relax, lontano dal frastuono di oistins, ma altrettanto vicino se si ha a disposizione un'auto. La zona di mare è adatta a chi ama giocare con le onde o fare kite surf per il vento che soffia initerrottamente. Con il sole ed il caldo è piacevole abbronzarsi senza soffrire!

Beautiful House Seaside
My boyfriend and I stayed in House Seaside for 7 days and it was beautiful. It was so relaxing, especially waking up with the sound of the waves, smell sea breeze, drinking coffee on the patio and enjoying the stunning view.
And of course, apartment is really comfortable and nice so we spend more timein apartment than we were planning.
Also, we really liked walking through the beach and chill :)
A rent a car is a must.

Peaceful, quiet location near to Oistins
We have previously stayed at St Lawrence Gap and Bathsheba but on our 3rd stay we found Inchcape Villas at Silver Sands. There were only two of us and none of the smaller units were available so we were offered The Courtyard, a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with kitchen, large dining room, good sized lounge area and balcony. This unit is huge and could easily accommodate 5 people comfortably.
The Surfer's Bar, a five minute walk away serves good food from a limited menu and has a good atmosphere. There was live music on Sunday which was excellent.. Also within a 10 minute walk is "Chicken Rita's" which we enjoyed immensely on our first visit but the food was not as good on our second visit. It's such good fun and reasonably priced that we would recommend a visit.
The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and we have no complaints at all and would stay again.
Whilst the complex is effectively on a lovely but narrow beach it is small and during our visit the sea was quite rough and we felt not safe to swim in, only because there are unseen, but not unfelt, lumps of coral obscured by the foaming sea. This was not a problem for us but might be for families with young children. There are plenty of alternative beaches easily accessed by car or local bus.
Oistins is within a 10 minute car journey, the Gap is 20 minutes and Bridgetown 30 minutes away.

One of the really best vacations i ever had
Very nice beach, excellent service, amazing place to relax and surf.
The units are all very clean and comfortable.
We surely will book again.

I love the villas
I have been to Barbados quite a few times and saw a no.of nice places on the island, but wish to say that Barbados without Inchcape would not be the same. The Inchcape Seaside Villas are so different from all the other accommodations and they are at such a high quality level. We followed the advice given in Inchcape's in house brochure this time and had dinner at such high end restaurant as The Cliff and also at the local rum shop Chicken Reta's close to the villas and both were excellent in their own category.
To have the Oistins fish market close by and the best supermarket on the island, Big B, just a few minutes drive away is very convenient. The owners also sent us to "Surfer's Bay, "Café Luna" and "Tapas" and all delivered up to our expectations.
The beach at the villas is a dream come true, the sand is white, the water clear, turquoise and all shades of blue.
I love all about the Inchcape Seaside Villas and will surely be back as soon as possible.

About the neighbourhood
House Seaside is located on the private estate of the Inchcape Seaside Villas. It is a place where dreams of a tropical island experience come true, where you can listen to the whisper of the trade winds brushing the tips of the coconut palms and get carried away by the colourful sounds of the steel drums, reggae and calypso music.
Clustered on the southern most tip of the Caribbean island of Barbados, House Seaside resides on the Inchcape property on Ananias Point right on the edge of Silver Sands Beach
Facing into the gentle breezes of the trades, Inchcape overlooks one of the islands most beautiful unspoiled white sand beaches to it's left while foamy rollers pound against the coral rocks at the western end of Silver Sands' beach.
Inchcape is surrounded by brilliant clear blue water. Visibility is undisturbed at up to fifty feet. Swimming and snorkeling are superb. Surfing is exceptional in the shorebreak only steps away from your house.
Most noteworthy is it's location as one of the best wave windsurfing spots on earth. Life is casual and unhurried in the true Barbadian tradition.
As Inchcape is located where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean the ocean can look like a pond on one day and can have waves out on the reef and a shorebreak on one part of the beach. The eastern half of the beach is usually calm and suited for swimming and seabathing.
Getting around
Dee, who is in charge of our airport pick ups and drops, is also the designated driver for our guests. He can be reached at his cell to request what ever transportation a guest might need.
Our recommendation however is to have a rental car for a stay in Barbados. Not only that it provides for max. convenience, it is also the best way to visit the many beautiful sites and beaches of this island, it might also be more economic at the very end than using taxis occasionally.
Using the public transport system with it's mini buses and buses is an option, but means lack of convenience.
