• Just outside, or from the balcony, you may see toucans, parrots, trogons and even Great Green Macaws flying close by. You might well hear the sound of the manakins dancing in the day time. Fall asleep to the melodies of frogs and the calls of owls. Walking to the main house, you could even meet some frogs by following their croaks as they jump away at night!
Our Commitment to the Environment
• The Eco House was planned to have minimal impact on the environment and also to serve as an educational model to our guests
• Most of its furniture is made out of recycled Wood and materials;
• Windows are designed to make the air circulate throughout the house;
• The secluded location allows a lack of curtains, so you may experience the stars scattered across the night sky, the awakening of the sun and the relaxing sounds of the rain forest;
• As part of our sustainable practices, both black (biological) and grey (washwater) waste waters are treated separately.
• The house makes use of recycling as well as water and energy saving.
• Your meals are prepared with organic vegetables—some of them grown on site.
• Future projects include solar panels and a bio digester for gas production, and more.
