It's hard to decide the best part of staying in this property. Without a doubt, Nora and Fabrizio were fantastic hosts. They communicated quickly and honestly, offered helpful suggestions, and addressed any concerns immediately. The property itself was ideal. The large open den allowed lots of space for hanging out, chatting, reading, and reliving the day's events. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook community meals, and the dining area easily accommodated our group of 12. Bedrooms were comfortable and roomy, and the bathrooms were immaculately clean. The air conditioner saved us from some really hot days during the July heatwave. Our favorite spot was the wrap around porch overlooking the beautiful countryside. Every morning found there watching the sunrise with our coffee, and every evening saw us admiring the setting sun with a glass of wine. The tiny village of Castel del Bosco was quaint and friendly, especially at the town's pizzeria, where owners Laura, Oratio, and their son treated us like family. The city of Pontedera was a five minute drive, so we were able to stock our fridge, eat out, and shop for whatever we needed. The city's train station made it simple to get to Florence and Lucca within an hour, Pisa within 20 minutes, and Sienna within 2 hours. I strongly recommend renting a car to get to the station and stores easily. There are taxis in Pontedera, but they are unreliable. With a car, you will have no problem getting to and from the station, as well being able to explore all the beautiful Tuscan villages that are off the main road. The month that we spent in this property was a dream. I hope other people have the chance to live their dreams here, as well.

Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und haben uns mit einem netten Willkommensgruß in Empfang genommen. Mit dem Auto sind die umliegenden Städte, Pisa, Lucca und Florenz gut zu erreichen. Schöne Strände haben wir jedoch nicht gefunden. Auch für eine schöne Wanderung oder einen längeren Spaziergang braucht man das Auto, da die Umgebung dafür nichts bietet. Insgesamt aber ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt. Das Haus kann insbesondere für kulturinteressierte Menschen empfohlen werden.

My family spent the month of April in this beautiful villa. First and foremost, Fabrizio and Nora could not have been nicer. They responded quickly to all of our inquiries, and provided us a nice package before our arrival that recommended restaurants, wineries, shopping and train locations. This information allowed us to plan our vacation. The villa is as advertised. All of the amenities are top of the line. The kitchen has everything you would need, the dining room table sites 10 comfortably, and the living room is very comfortable. The views from the balcony were spectacular. Watching the sun set over the mountains were great. There were a couple of minor issues upon arrival, and Fabrizio made sure they were addressed immediately. If you plan on traveling around the Tuscany area, Castel Del Bosco is centrally located. Most of the sites we wanted to see, were within an hour. We visited Pisa, Volterra, Siena and Lucca. When we wanted to venture out a bit further to Cinque Terra and Rome, we used the train system out of San Romano. I would recommend this villa to anyone that is interested in touring Tuscany. My family spent the month of April 2016 at the Villa in Castel Del Bosco. Fabrizio and Nora could not have been nicer. They responded to all questions we had prior to our visit. They also provided a great package of restaurants, wineries, shopping and train schedules before we arrived. This made it easy to plan some of our adventures. We ran into a couple of small issues upon our arrival to the Villa, and again, Fabrizio and Nora were quick to make sure these issues were addressed. The house is as advertised on the site. Everything within the house was top of the line. The kitchen was well stocked, the dining area could seat 10 comfortably, and the living room was very comfortable. The views out on the patio were awesome. We enjoyed the sunsets overlooking the mountains. If you are interested in touring Tuscany, Castel Del Bosco is centrally located to most areas. Most of the areas we were interested in was within an hour radius. When we wanted to explore outside of this radius, we took advantage of the train system in San Romano which was about 15 minutes away. From the there, we were able to travel to Rome in about 2 hours, and Cinque Terre as well. We would definitely contact Fabrizio and Nora again on our next visit to the Tuscany area. As part of our two family tour of Italy, we chose to stay at this house due to its neutral location in Tuscany and its proximity to all major destinations. Pisa, Florence, Chinco Terre and Siena are all close enough for a day trip. The house itself is amazing with breathtaking views of Tuscany countryside, modern amenities, spacious bedrooms and everything you need to stay there for an extended period.

I rented this property for the month of July and found it to be everything I thought it would be. Family and friends, seventeen altogether, joined me throughout the month and everyone, without exception, commented about the spaciousness, cleanliness, comfort, and location. Everything that was depicted on the website were accurate portrayals of what to expect. Fabrizio and Nora were perfect hosts who sent a lot of pre-trip information which made planning much easier. They also responded quickly on the occasion of our arrival about a small issue. They addressed it immediately and, within 24 hours, everything was fine. This property is perfectly located to visit so many areas in Tuscany but we were also able to easily travel to Venice and Rome for several days at a time. The Pontedera train station was so accessible that we used it extensively for our travels. La Piazzetta became our "hangout" and Laura and her husband, the owners, were very friendly and helpful especially during our first few days in the area, giving us directions and answering questions. And their pizza is fabulous!! We all agreed that it was the best we ate while in Italy. The Varramista wine tasting tour was excellent and only a five-minute drive away. Catarina was the tour guide who made our visit so enjoyable. Because I had groups of people arrive at different times during the month, I actually experienced the wine tasting three times during my stay. I highly recommend it as a stop on anyone's tour. I rented a car for the month and, after the first day of driving, had no problem finding my way around and figuring out the roundabouts. The train station, grocery stores, and banks were easy to find and all very convenient. The highway between Florence and Pisa was also easily accessible, less than five minutes away. If I return to Tuscany for any length of time, I will certainly book this property again. It provided the base for a wonderful experience!!

My wife and I stayed at Fabrizio's place in Tuscany in 2012 and had a great time. Fabrizio is the perfect host. He was available and ready to help even before we asked him for it. He is very trustworthy, and reliable, and the next time we went to Tuscany in 2014 the choice was very simple -we spent our honeymoon there. We also recommended the place to our friends and when they went there they were amazed.

We had 4 couples and this was a great house to base from, beautiful, clean and fully equipped, friendly neighbors that even drove us to a restaurant because we did not understand with the language difference. Owners really went above and beyond by helping us find a driver for a day trip.

We have rented properties numerous times in different parts of the world and one of the biggest risks is a property that is accurately represented. This property is, with the pictures and descriptions provided on the website as well as what we received from the owners via e-mail. It is extremely roomy, we had 4 adults and 4 children during our stay. Modern, well-equipped and clean. The location is ideal if you want to explore this region, your within a 1 hour drive of many beautiful villages, Tuscan hill towns as well as more well-known sites such as Pisa and Florence. I can highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a roomy, modern, clean and well-equipped home to enjoy this beautiful Italian region.

Wow! The location was perfect. Situated in the heart of Tuscany, this Villa is a short drive to all the hot spots that you would want to visit. It is located in a small farming community away from big city traffic. The Villa is big with large bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was also large and fully stocked with tableware and appliances. What better way to be greeted after a long plane ride than with friendly people and a bottle of wine? We made a day-trip every day in a different direction. Fabrizio and Nora were fantastic hosts. Fabrizio helped us map out each day-trip including the best places to visit, best times to visit, driving directions, train schedules, ticket costs, and restaurant selection. He also helped us get our lost luggage delivered. Nora even offered to cook us breakfast! Where else do you get that kind of hospitality? We would go back there in a second. Be sure to rent a car with a GPS to make your driving experience easier. Italian roundabout intersections can be tricky and a GPS will guide you to your destination smoothly. Our favorite destinations were Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Sienna, Bolgheri, and Cinque Terre (including Rio Miggiore, Monerosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Manarola). If Tuscany is your passion, this is the place to stay.
