Only a couple of minutes walk from the many bars, restaurants and boutiques and from the main piazza in the pedestrian marble and cobbled streets. The town is situated just above the Adriatic coast of Italy in the unspoilt region of Abruzzo. Vasto is easily accessible from Pescara Abruzzo airport in 45 minutes, or from Rome in 3 hours by direct coach. The apartment is within walking distance 15 mins (down steps) of the pebble beach or 25 minutes walk (5 minutes by car/bus) to the sandy gently sloping Vasto marina beach. The apartment is a large 70 sq m. open plan apartment on the ground floor of a typical Italian medieval town house, with opening windows to the front aspect, vaulted ceilings and antique brickwork. Please note the unique location of my properties in the historical center of town close to restaurants, bars, shops and cafes NOT in the Vasto marina beach area. (where most holiday property is located and the noisy discos and nightclubs are located) Vasto is a charming medieval town and has plenty to offer for a weekend or for a fortnights holiday. Cultural events are put on throughout the year for visitors, most of which are free to attend. Concerts, opera in the palazzo gardens, rock bands, food and wine tasting, film festival and Siren Fest music festival. Fresh fish and seafood is a Vasto speciality, as is suckling pig (porchetta) and steak. Our local wines for fish are Pecorino and Trebbiano and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo for meat. There is a farmers market with local produce and a weekly market on Saturday too. There are lots of pavement cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, art galleries, museum and castle are all within a couple of hundred yards of our properties. Also an indoor swimming pool, gym, tennis court and running track. Aqualand water park is 15 minutes drive/bus. The Tremiti Islands are 50 minutes by local ferry where you can dive, snorkel or hire a boat. The Cavallone Caves and Majeletta mountains are 1 1/4 hours drive. Rome and Naples are 3 hours We provide a full information brochure and live close by in case of emergency. More
