Overview
Condo/Apartment -
3 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 6
Todi, Province of Perugia, Umbria
You'll find the apartment in the heart of Todi, an Umbrian hilltown famous for its picturesque winding streets and breathtaking views. It has been recommended by Lonely Planet's Tuscany/Umbria edition, and it is easy to see why. It has been in the family for generations and the owner has personally seen to its decoration. The result is an eclectic and harmonious combination of cherished family heirlooms and stylish contemporary pieces. At La Gardenia, you'll be welcomed as a traveller -- even a member of the family -- and never an anonymous tourist.

The apartment is situated on the upper two floors of a traditional stone-built house dating from the Middle Ages. Because the house is taller...

About the neighbourhood
Todi is equidistant between Rome and Florence. For the sports-minded, there is good walking, swimming, hot-air balooning, cycling and golf. There are also fabulous museums, tiny historic theatres, jazz and blues festivals and local opera. Ther excellent local wines include the unique Sagrantino and the gourmet cuisine is based around local produce including truffles, olive oil, polenta and farro (or spelt).
Getting around
You do not need a car if you plan to spend your entire holiday in Todi -- everything you need is close enough to walk to including small food markets, shops and restaurants. But I would advise you to book a car if you want to explore the surrounding countryside and other small towns in Umbria.
