We have two villas available for rental, Il Seccatoio (which was an old chestnut drying house) and Casa Vecchia (which was the original farmhouse on the property) both Villas have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen and lounge area plus laundry and lockup garages. The large outside portico areas with barbeques overlook the vineyard and olive grove and provide views to the nearby hilltop towns of Montegiovi, Castel Del Piano and Montelaterone. There are only 3 places in the world where I had a rest 3 times and more. 2 out of them are my grandparents homes. 3rd place is Podernuovo. As usual everything was perfect. It is a real pearl. Thanks Alvina and Umberto!

About the neighbourhood
Podernuovo is a tranquil 8 hectare rural property on the slopes of Monte Amiata, Tuscany's highest mountain. Monte Amiata is an extinct volcano (180 thousand years ago) which was considered by the Etruscans as their Mount Olympus. It is famous for its chesnuts and porcini mushrooms. It is 'off the tourist track' but close to Siena, Florence, Pienza, Saturnia and the famous wine areas of Montalcino and Montepulciano. There are many walking tracks through the valley.
