Holiday Rental House -
4 Bedrooms , 4 Bathrooms , Sleeps 8
Zinkwazi Beach, KwaZulu-Natal
This award winning beach front home is built in indigenous milkwood forest overlooking the ocean. There are uninterrupted views from all 3 floors, The ocean and beach on one side of the house, and the milkwood forest on the other.
You can swim and snorkel in sheltered rock pools directly in front of the house. The beach in front of the house is generally only used by residents, so it is possible to enjoy a high degree of privacy and isolation at the house at the same time as having access the busier main beach at the lagoon, roughly a 1 km beach walk, or drive away.
The beach is pristine and you can walk in either direction for many kilometers. The main beach, at the lagoon area, has shark nets and launching facilities for boats. It is possible to canoe or navigate a boat for 7 km upstream from the bea...

Interaction with guests
I live in the village so am available at all times to call and see guests. Axon our live in caretaker is on the premises and is well informed. He meets guests on arrival and I call at an arranged time to greet the guests.

Abbey and her group were a pleasure to host. They arrived with a happy positive attitude and throughout their stay they were neat, considerate and courteous. We could not have wished for better visitors and would be delighted to have them come again

Very well-equipped beach house on the beach - perfect design for our family with teen kids. Loved the separate spaces & games room - just wish there was a pool for the windy days ... Wendy was a pleasure to deal with.

Thank you for the review Tracey. I am pleased you had a good family holiday. It was a pleasure to host you and yes, maybe a pool just off the deck would be a great idea but difficult to construct !!

About the neighbourhood
Peaceful and quiet.....Our little village has no industry. A small cafe serves as a convenience shop to meet our needs but we suggest you do your grocery shopping in Ballito before coming to Zinkwazi.
Our beaches are magnificent and our river is safe and picturesque and suitable for small water craft. The main beach and lagoon is where it all happens and here you will enjoy the Ski boat club on the beach and the best pizza ever from Proud at the main beach parking. Swimming is safe at the main beach as life guards are on duty all day
Getting around
Zinkwazi is so small one is able to walk around the village. Recently a new taxi service is offering to transfers to Ballito or the airport at a reasonable rate.
To travel further afield we suggest you hire a car on arrival in Kzn. The National parks of Hluhluwe, Umfolosi and St Lucia are well worth a visit. Good sightings of animals are reported. Birding in the coastal area is excellent and cycling, water sports and hiking are very popular

How to get there
Airport: Shaka International Airport -Durban: 45.0 km
Zinkwazi Beach is 10km from the N2 National road which runs the length of the east coast of South Africa. Please expect to pay tolls - there are two toll stations between the King Shaka International airport near Ballito, south of Zinkwazi. Directions from the airport are good and it takes 45 minutes on a very good freeway to reach Zinkwazi.
From the north one would travel down from Swaziland or Mozambique passing Hluhluwe, Empangeni and Mtunzini.
Once in the village, follow Nkwazi drive until Sandy Cove. Turn left into sandy cove and this becomes Magai. Pass the Ocean reef Hotel and no 21 Magai and the Beach house is on your left. Ring the door bell and Axon will greet you on arrival.

There Is A Golf Course Within 30 Mins Drive.
