The stairs are traditional for this type of house and may not suit people with walking difficulties. The house is situated near the bottom of a hill so not too steep but again may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties. The little street takes you up into the old village and the house is nicely situated so you have lovely views but are not too far away from the bars and restaurants. The house has many charming features and a well equipped kitchen. More

About the neighbourhood
Set in the National Park, we are close for visiting Gorges, historical villages, Mediterranean beach, Carcasonne Castle, walking, fishing, kayaking, horseriding, caving, rock climbing. We have it all. The area is full of vineyards producing fabulous wines so wine tasting, swimming in the river Orb, cycling is huge here. Local fetes and markets providing local produce such as honey, soaps, cheeses, fresh vegetables and more wine.....
Getting around
If you want to explore then a car is recommended as public transport is limited. However if you are happy to walk or cycle and just want to stay in Roquebrun then there is just about enough to keep you going.
