Travelled with husband, two sons plus girlfriends. The cottage suited our needs, a 3 night stay to go to a family reunion. Lovely location, friendly owner-liked the flapjack! Friendly neighbours lots of wildlife on doorstep including 3 hens who demanded breakfast on a morning, birds...More

Thank you for your nice review, I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Half of the pillows in the cottage are feather, and the other half are synthetic. This allows for changing around between those who love feathers and those who might be allergic.

A fantastic host , we got fresh flowers and cake .. Tanya had supplied the basic like tea, coffee and milk .. Which was gratefully received . The cottage was perfect for 6 ladies in a horse riding holiday . We had a lovely BBQ...More

About the neighbourhood
Local activities: Walking and cycling in Thetford Forest, with marked walking and cycling trails, children's play areas, cafe, and small shop with maps etc available to buy. High Lodge has bike hire and the Go Ape tree-top assault course. Bird watching - Lakenheath Fen, with a visitors centre is only a couple of miles away. Weeting Heath is one of the best places to see stone curlews, open from April to September. Welney Wildfowl and Wetland Trust includes year round activities, including dawn viewing of thousands of migrating swans in winter. Also an hour away from several reserves on the North Norfolk Coast. Shopping and regional towns - Bury St. Edmunds, Norwich, Kings Lynn and Cambridge are all within an hours drive.

A car is needed due to our rural location. The local train station at Brandon is on the route to Norwich, Ely, Cambridge and London.
