Wow what an amazing place Welcomed by Stacey the owner , took an interest in us and our family stay , recommendations and always on hand if needed. The location you couldn’t get more Perfect straight into the Forrest , the cottage area so peaceful , safe and secluded with the electric doors keeping the grounds secure and they are also well kept . The cottage had everything you need , clean , modern conveniences , loads of space and homely. Plus points amazing pressure on the shower , electric recliners , big tv with sky , dishwasher made my life relaxing and easier . The beds lovely and comfortable , Dinning table so we could eat meals as a family each night . The fenced off garden was lovely for our kids and dog to play without worry to us. Outside the cottage small walk to a stunning lake/marsh land , beautiful set walks or walks into the forest and investigate the wonders of the Forrest , den building our kids loved . Loads of pubs/restaurants with beer Gardens within small distance. Lovely Chinese for a family treated within 10 mins drive , supermarkets within 15 mins drive . A massive thank you to John and Stacey who were never about when you wanted peace and a feeling it was just you and your family but there when you needed advice or help . My little girl loved the bike and the push chair for her dolls we had in the outhouse made her stay that little bit special she was made up her dolly had a pram . We will be back next year with our new baby girl , value for money , hospitality , location , family retreat 10/10 every time .

We booked the two lodges for my family to stay 2 nights so that we could all go to my niece’s wedding nearby. The lodges are in a tranquil setting with a view of horses in the opposite field. It was like being at home with all mod cons eg dishwasher, large TV. We had a welcome bottle of wine on arrival from the owners and coffee and tea was provided. They are ideal for a family holiday and only about 30 minutes away from Chester city centre and next door to Go Ape.

Delightful short stay. Family party of 10 staying in two adjacent cabins. Walking and cycling straight from the property. Grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed activities at nearby "Go Ape". Restaurant close by as well. A thoroughly enjoyable reunion. Hosts helpful and caring.

The cottage was wonderfully clean and bright and much more spacious than I had imagined. A lovely big kitchen table to eat at. It was great to have the forest on the doorstep and a view of the horses from the little terrace. Stacey and John couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Had a wonderful stay in Cottage 2. It was perfect for us and our 2 young children (6 and 3). The location is amazing. 2 mins walk to Go Ape which the children loved and on the doorstep of lovely forest walks including the Gruffalo trail. I would also recommend getting the train into Chester. The station is a few mins walk and the train takes 15 mins. So easy! The accommodation had everything we needed and more. Sky tv, wifi and a toy box made it a home from home. The bed rails, child step etc. made things easier for us too. We loved it and plan to bring the extended family and book both cottages next time!

Booked 3 nights with my wife and son for a relaxing yet energetic break cycling around Delamere. The location cannot be bettered, with the forest tracks literally outside the gate. Aside from the cycling there is so much to do, plenty without having to use your car. If you don't drive the train station is just 5 minutes walk away. The cottages are excellent quality and spotless. Furnishings and beds are comfortable and both kitchen and bathroom are modern with everything you need. Wifi signal is strong throughout, obviously essential for an 11 year-old boy!! The cottages are set within a beautiful farm, with everything you'd need if you wanted to bring your horse. We sat in the evening sun with a cold beer, watching horses roam the fields or being worked, so relaxing! Stacey the owner was genuinely friendly and helpful, from pre-booking through to arrival. She was on hand if needed, but very respectful of your privacy. Lovely and unexpected touches, including a bottle of my favourite Rioja. I can't recommend this place highly enough for a relaxing break away from hustle & bustle. I wish I'd booked longer, but I expect to return a regular basis to recharge the batteries.

Absolutely lovely place perfectly located right in Delamere Forest. Cottages were well stocked with everything you may need and the owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The most delightful surprise was how close the train station was and we ended up getting the train directly into Chester no one having to drive and no having to navigate the one way system. If you are looking for a modern well maintained getaway then look no further and there is so much to do in the area we didn't have enough time to do everything.

Myself, 5 friends and our 6 horses came for a weekend visit in May and we were not disappointed. The log cabin is beautiful and really clean and comfortable. The horses also had luxury accommodation in an American style barn with plenty of hay and bedding included. They also had a field we could use which we could see from the kitchen window. Stacey was a lovely host and we felt very welcome and relaxed during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place to horsey people who want to bring their horses away with them. Saying that, it is so clean and lovely in the cabin that non-horsey people would enjoy this place too.
