The cottages are barns that have been renovated to a high standard (4 star rating). Tastefully decorated and providing all modern facilites for a pleasant stay. Surround by beautiful countryside yet not far from main everyday facilities Ballaterson Cottages are situated just outside of Ballaugh village in the North of the Island, only a short distance from the Ballaugh Curraghs, and the Currraghs Wildlife Park with lake/cafe. We support the Welcome Scheme for walkers, cyclists and bikers. For anglers the island has sea and fresh water fishing in abundance. The cottage was lovely. We were In a fab location. Georgina was lovely. We visited the Southern 100 racing. We have stayed here several times.

Booked our trip for TT 2017, and whilst the weather wasnt kind to us, the host was! Georgie even ran us to the pub one night when it was raining. Can't recommend the cottage, host or the 'locals' highly enough. All mad us soooo welcome....More

About the neighbourhood
Beautiful countryside in the heart of the North, hills, mountains coast is only 2km away, and we have the balaugh Curraghs (this means rough scrub) where you can see some wild life i.e. the wallabies., birds are abundant and there are wild orchid fields around this area where you can have guided tours.
Getting around
A car is advisable. however there is easy acccess to all main areas using public transport., which runs across the island. Buses from the North of the island terminate in Douglas and you can catch another bus from there to the South areas. Bicycles are available to hire in local hhire store. The are is ideal for walking, and cycling.
