Royal Marine House is situated in an elevated position over Ventnor with stunning sea views. The town centre is a short level walk away and a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops are within easy distance. The beach is a short stroll from the house and the sea can usually be heard lapping the beach from the property.
The location was perfect with great sea views. It was our first time on the Isle of Wight and we were a family of 4 with 2 young kids. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities, booking and access was very easy. The location was great with plenty of local amenities a few minutes walk away as well as the beach. Will definitely be coming back.

An apartment in a great location with stunning views
It was our first visit to the IOW and we could not have chosen a better apartment. It was comfortable, clean and fully equipped with everything needed and the welcome pack was lovely and gratefully received.
The apartment is in a perfect location with the most stunning views, which certainly gives you a wow moment when you first walk through to the lounge.
There is a good selection of shops a few minutes walk away and the ice cream parlour, which is an absolute must.
The esplanade is a short but steep downhill stroll away to the beach, cafes and restaurants. You can also access the costal path to Steephill Cove which is well worth a visit but only accessible by foot.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Royal Marine and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Fantastic holiday in Ventnor, best sea view apartment!
We stayed in the middle floor apartment at Royal Marine House in Ventnor. On arrival to the apartment the first thing that strikes you is the amazing sea views from the lounge and master bedroom! We found it mesmerising!
On booking the holiday we found Richard was easy to communicate with and was great in providing any information we needed. The location of the apartment is fantastic as a short walk down some steps (steep) takes you to Ventnor beach which is one of the best on the Island! 5 minutes out of the apartment is the small town with shops and restaurants.
The apartment was clean, homely and had a real relaxing holiday feel. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine, with outdoor airer. Parking space is allocated outside and 2 bedrooms and lounge.
We loved our stay. Can recommend walking to steep hill cove beach which is lovely (walk from the apartment). We hired kayaks here. We also loved a day at the beach in Freshwater, visiting the needles (walked down and cable car back up!) Aqua inflatable fun at Tapnell Park was great too!
Some happy memories were made for us! Definitely recommend this place!

Lovely apartment, wonderful view
The bedroomed apartment is well located within Ventnor, with uninterrupted sea view. That alone is worth the visit!
The apartment is spacious, with all the facilities you would need.
Shops, restaurants are all located within a short walk. The high street is approximately 200 metres away.
We had a lovely stay, and would highly recommend the property for a holiday

Stunning views and great location!
We were a family of 4 that had a pretty wet half term break. The first floor apartment had amazing views and was really clean and well equipped, we didn't want for anything. The location, a short walk from the sea front and town was perfect for accessing shops, the beach, pubs and cafes. Despite the weather we went all around the island from this great base. This apartment is all about the views from both the lounge and the main bedroom.

Relaxing stay in an apartment with a beautiful view
Fantastic apartment. Well equipped, spotlessly clean, with great views out to sea and the soothing sound of the waves. It's close to Ventnor's restaurants and bars, and everywhere on the island is within easy reach by car.

Fabulous apartment with the best views
A very comfortable apartment with the best sea views you could imagine. Everything in the apartment has been thought of and it’s in a great location. A short walk to the beach but a (short) steep climb back up! Lots of great restaurants and bars within a short walk. Very efficient booking process with a very helpful owner. Thank you. Highly recommend.

We had fabulous 2 nights stay at the Royal Marine House First during early May holiday weekend. Lovely street right in the middle of the bay, breathtaking views, clean fully equipped apartment, everything you need for the relaxed break with the family.
Fast communication with the owner, all questions answered and very clear instructions are given.
Highly recommended place to stay in Ventnor and we would love to go back one day!

Ventnor is a seaside resort and civil parish established in the Victorian era on the south coast of the Isle of Wight, England. It lies underneath St Boniface Down (which, at 240 metres (787 feet), is the highest point on the Isle of Wight), and is built on steep slopes and cliffs leading down to the sea. The higher part is referred to as Upper Ventnor (although officially it is Lowtherville); the lower part, where most of the amenities are located, being known as Ventnor. Ventnor is sometimes understood as including the coastal villages of St. Lawrence to one side and Bonchurch to the other.
The sheltered location on the cliff of the Island's south coast means the area experiences a microclimate with more sunny days than much of the British Isles, and fewer frosts. This has allowed many species of subtropical plant to be successfully planted and maintained. Ventnor Botanic Garden is particularly notable.
