The Granary is a newly converted stone cottage, open plan living/kitchen/dining room with modern amenities, fitted oven, halogen hob, microwave, kettle dishwasher, washer/drier, flatscreen freeview tv/dvd, cd player, etc. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms (one has en-suite shower room) and one twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom with corner bath, shower, vanity unit and w.c. Stayed at The Granary, Hamsteels Hall Holiday Cottages for New Year and hubby’s bday. Comfy, cosy cottage, well equipped and welcoming. Ideally situated for Lanchester with a good range of pubs and restaurants, Beamish Open Air Museum, and great dog walks. Second visit to Hamsteels,...More

How to get there
Postcode DH7 9RS Leave motorway at junction 62. Follow A690 to Durham, then take the A691 road towards Consett. After approximately 3 miles, turn left at roundabout signposted Langley Park/Quebec. As you leave Langley Park and approx. half a mile on, turn right at bend in road - signposted Hamsteels Lane. This takes you downhill, then up to the top of the hill (approx three quarters mile) we are on right at very top of hill.
