Nearby Allerthorpe Lake offers water activities,while Burnby Hall features a large lake which is brimming with Coy Carp to feed as well as a play park for children,both benefitting from onsite cafés.  Enter this Grade II listed Georgian period house into the tiled entrance hall. The traditional lounge on the right features Georgian panelling with a secret door and a coal effect gas fire with period surrounds,where you can relax on the comfy sofa in front of the TV. The hallway leads through to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and downstairs WC at the rear. Settle in front of the wood burner effect gas fire right next to the large window overlooking the Minsters front door. A TV is provided for your entertainment as well as a range of books and games. Cook in style in the fully equipped kitchen,complete with breakfast bar. The appliances are all fully integrated and include an electric oven and hob,microwave,fridge/freezer,dishwasher and washer/dryer. Large Georgian style patio doors lead onto the enclosed courtyard garden. On the first floor,the master bedroom with king-size bed features a charming window seat overlooking the Minster,original Georgian panelling,a character fireplace and an en-suite shower room with shower and WC. Take time out for pampering in the beautiful bathroom,complete with freestanding bath,separate shower and WC. There is also a twin zip-and-link bedroom on the first floor (which can be made up as a super-king-size on request) that overlooks the courtyard garden. Heading upstairs to the second floor relax in the further super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as a twin on request) with original Georgian wood panelling,a cast iron fireplace and an en-suite WC leading off the room. Outside is a pretty walled courtyard area with seating,perfect for spending the warmer evenings dining alfresco. There is a roadside parking permit provided for two cars. More
