Large bedrooms, 6ft beds, oak flooring to the bedrooms and travertine tiling to the brand new en-suite shower rooms - with views over the surrounding gardens and mosquito screens to help stop you being munched in the night!Upstairs you'll find 3 more beautifully decorated bedrooms - luxurious & comfortable - each can be set up as either a twin or 6ft double room - with loads of room for cots & put-u- ups - a great family bathroom with twin basins, bath & separate shower - make this a really comfortable family space. The living rooms more than match the comfort and style of the bedrooms - downstairs there's a monumental fireplace with enormous log burning stove - flanked by deep leather sofas and a couple of really comfortable Fired Earth library chairs - and just in case there's a flat screen TV with UK TV & DVD player set into a smart corner cupboard. The kitchen is the other end of the living room - large and open - hand built units, granite work surfaces and truly fantastic AGA 6:4 conventional cooker - fully equipped with all that you could wish for - no cast offs here! With a large modern oak table that extends to seat 12, there's room for all!For a moment of quiet or perhaps a space for the children, the upstairs mezzanine living room is perfect. Enjoy watching a film on the large flat screen TV while lying back in style on the super comfy TV sofa... Or for a quiet moment snuggle up on a comfy couch with a good book selected from the bursting bookshelves! Kiddies in tow? Well with toys galore and even more books, you're sure to keep the little ones amused should they need some quiet time away from the adventures outside! The BREAD OVEN has 2 double (6ft beds)/twin en suite bedrooms, luxuriously furnished with french doors opening onto a side terrace with views of the windmill on the hill above. The kitchen is hand built with granite worksurfaces and the dining table seats 6 and has views onto the secluded rear terrace where you will find a second permenant barbecue and outside table seating up to 6.There's a very cosy lounge corner - deep comfy sofas (one a fully sprung sofa bed) are grouped around the log burning stove & TV with UK TV & DVD player. With Wifi throughout, enjoy all the comforts of home!12 x 6 m heated salt water pool with plenty of sun loungers for all.Outside there are 6.5 acres of landscaped, tree lined gardens to explore, with shady pergolas, table tennis table, football net, babminton net and playhouse and climbing frame for our younger visitors.Enjoy cycling the quiet lanes - we've bikes for all ages free for you to use.A great location, just south of the Dordogne in the rolling Lot & Garonne countryside.Fantastic setting, totally private (6.5 acres of gardens and grounds tucked away behind electtric gates), wonderful far reaching views of the beautiful rolling countryside.A beautiful, ancient, almond tree shades the main terrace of the farmhouse. Five of the bedrooms are in the farmhouse, with large open living spaces, a beautifully fitted country kitchen and salon with log burning stove - this is just the place for everyone to spend time. The Bread Oven is framed by a cascading rose garden. Enjoy the open living room with log burning stove and great kitchen with granite work surfaces. The two bedrooms have ensuite shower rooms and french windows. With enormous gardens there's space for everyone to play or just relax in a shady spot. Make the most of the fabulous 12 x 6 m heated salt water pool - tucked into the hillside and bounded by fragrant lavender hedges. With shady pergolas forming wonderful outside lounges, day beds in shady spots, hammocks and more - there really is a place for everyone! Both houses are beautifully renovated. With exposed stone walls inside and out, hand crafted teracotta floor tiles and really beautiful furnishings, these are far more than just 'holiday homes' they are both truly comfortable and stylish - a real 'home from home'!With wide terracing all around the pool and loads of sunbeds, this is a great spot for enjoying the summer sun!For those who prefer some shade there are two fantastic pergolas (one at each end of the pool) which provide wonderful shady out side living spaces, while still being close to all the action! For quieter moments, the 6.5 acres of landscaped gardens provide many quiet spots where you can escape to!Great outdoor living spaces mean that larger parties can come together for meals or to socialise together, but still have their own private space for the quieter moments. The Domaine de Gigan is set right in the middle of this beautiful region and surrounded by wonderful bastide towns such as Eymet, Pujols, Monflanquin, Penne d'Agenais and Villeneuve sur Lot - wonderful locations for shopping, markets, eating out or just soaking up the history of the area. Just 15 mins drive takes you to the river Lot for canoeing, boating and kayaking, further afield is Le Parc en Ciel (a French 'Go Ape') and really great for everyone from tiny tots to dare devil teens!!Just south of the Dordogne, we are perfectly placed for enjoying a spot of wine tasting followed by a relaxing lunch - take your pick there are loads of great restaurants (many detailed in the info pack). We always try to 'go the extra mile' to make your stay special, whether from the 'welcome pack' of goodies to get you right into the mood for a fabulous holiday, to home cooked meals and wine in the fridge awaiting your arrival, to really comprehensive information pack of information on the area. We can suggest itineraries for different tastes, whether for an active holiday, a wine tasting tour or a tour of the bastide villages with suggestions for the best restaurants in each.More

Interaction with guests
We really look forward to welcoming you to this special corner of France. Our aim is to provide all our guests with the best possible holiday experience. I live on site - but worry not, I have my own pool, terraces, garden, so I am well out of your hair! When I am not here I have house sitters living on site who will be on hand should you need them. We will open and close the pool, morning and evening, clean it and set the alarm, which our guests then control throughout the day. We are able to offer home cooked meals on request as well as a shopping service and babysitting when I am here (I have an advanced DBS check and work in a school as well as having three children, so well experienced!).

About the neighbourhood
Tombeboeuf offers everything you need for day to day life, with a boulangerie, butcher, local shop (selling just about everything), pharmacy and good local restaurant. Just outside the village is a great 9 hole golf course, English owned, and club house - a really relaxing way of spending half a day. To the east of the village is a picturesque lake which is a nature reserve - great for an easy 4km walk or fishing (licences can be bought in the village).Closer to the house is the restored windmill of Coulx - open to the public twice a week and a great walk along quiet lanes from the house - a really great spot for a picnic with the most amazing 360 degree views of the region. Slightly further afield, to the south, is the town of Villeneuve-sur-Lot. This is a traditional bastide town wit...
Getting around
You do need a car here. We are out in the countryside. Many of the sites & activities are only a short drive away. We also have bikes on site and some quiet country lanes around the property. The local village has a good shop, boulangerie & butcher so no need to stray too far if you don't want to!
