The Granary is attached to the main farmhouse and is located in the centre of the farm. The spacious living room is on the first floor and has a floor to ceiling window through which the activities of the wild life in the undisturbed valley below can be observed (binoculars are provided) - perhaps a fox in search of his supper. There is a reclining sofa from which to enjoy the panoramic view of the Radnorshire Hills and watch the changing light and shadows as the sun sinks below the horizon. A digital TV and a DVD player are provided

The main bedroom is on the ground floor and has its own bathroom with bath and shower. It is provided with super king size double bed.

There is an attic bedroom above the sitting room with a shower room and toilet. The attic bedroom can be provided with two single or a super king sized double bed.

Interaction with guests
For walkers and nature lovers there is direct access to a footpath leading to the Radnorshire Hills and linking with the Offa's Dyke path. Canoes can be hired from a number of locations in and around Hay, riding on the hills can be arranged with local riding centre and bicycle hire is available in Hay.

About the neighbourhood
Hay-on Wye, famous as the 'town of books' is also home to the famous literary festival held at the end of May and beginning of June each year. There are a growing number of shops selling antiques and collectables and these compliment the book shops.

The Granary provides an ideal centre for walking or cycling holidays with easy access to the Black Mountains, the Brecon Beacons, the Radnorshire Hills and Offas Dyke Path for the walkers and cycle routes for all ages and abilities in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Roast Ox Inn is located in the centre of Painscastle, providing first class food in a real 'pub' environment. It is a 20 minute walk from the Granary along a quiet country lane.
