We stayed for a few days just after new year to chill out and that's exactly what we did. The cottage was lovely and the owners were great, they let our kids collect eggs and groom the ponies. Really fantastic. We will definatly book again...More

Maes y Gwy is located on a 126 acre farm in Monmonuthshire and lies 1.5 miles outside the delightful village of Shirenewton with its 3 friendly local country pubs. Chepstow, home to the oldest surviving stone castle in Britain is only a short drive away. This really is castle country, in addition to Chepstow there are several nearby including Caldicot and Raglan. Located just five miles from the Severn bridge Maes y Gwy is also well placed for the M4 and M5 corridors and for visiting Newport, Cardiff and Bristol.
