Condo/Apartment
The apartment consists of one twin-bedded bedroom, separate bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living/dining area with television (cable reception). Balcony overlooking the common swimming pool. The apartment has a balcony overlooking the common swimming pool. Many visitors wrongly presume that Gozo is just an extension of its larger sister, Malta. Though its villages are built from the same honey-colours limestone, Gozo has a completely different ambience. Gozo’s capital, Victoria lies approximately in the centre of the island and a visit to its historic citadel is a must. The fishing villages of Marsalforn and Xlendi, set around eye-catching bays, has developed as the focal resort for tourists....The apartment consists of one twin-bedded bedroom, separate bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living/dining area with television (cable reception). About the neighbourhood
Gharb means West and in fact this village is situated in the West of Gozo. Life in this village began many centuries ago and these roots can be seen in the structure of the houses which are found around the village core. Gharb was given the status of a parish in 1679 and the New Church (Knisja l-Kbira) has a baroque style and is similar to the Church of San Anjeze of Barromini which is in Pjazza Navona in Rome. Gharb’s square is a typical Gozitan square with the magnificent façade of the church enhancing its beauty, the Cross of the Square which dates back to the 17th Century and also a folk museum which is full of all sorts of things pertaining to the history of our islands. There are also two legends related to two chapels, one called taz-Zejt and the other ta’ San Dimitri, famous leg...
How to get there
From Gozo’s ferry at Mgarr follow signs to the capital, Victoria. When you arrive in Victoria, drive past the city and head northwest. You will pass an aqueduct, keep going straight along the main road, following directions to the village of Gharb. After a while the road (Triq L’ Gharb) forks; keep right on Triq il-Knisja and you will get to Gharb main square. Take the road on the left hand side of the church (Triq il-Madonna tal-Virtu) Follow the road keeping right till it becomes Triq San Dimitri and finally Triq Birbuba. You will find Birbuba Villa at n.21, Ta’ Tina villa at n.20 and Tal-Jordan Apartments, in front of the children playground. The keys will be in the door.
