The apartment which is more like a hotel apartment is a luxuary apartment placed in the most popular down town area. From the apartment it takes only 3 minutes to walk to the largest shopping street in Reykjavik with selection of shops, restaurants and bars. Mountain view from the apartment and 5 min walk to the ocean where also the Reykjavik Music Hall is located. * This apartment is for four adults. Extra guests are charges 25usd per night. ** Baby crib and high chair can be arranded for 25usd per night.

Great trip to Iceland. Be careful booking with Gunnar though — you may not get what is originally agreed upon.... he changed availability and offered a solution, but never followed through on the partial refund he agreed to give us.

Loft Apartments: Location and Size make for a Very Good value.

As the apartment lies in the heart of Reykjavik, we had a short walk to lunch/dinner each day over a 6-day stay. The Old Harbor and shopping areas were a short walk away. More than ample space and lighting in the apartment was also a plus. Apartment rentals require shopping for groceries and for some supplies, and this was no exception. Be prepared to manage the pay-as-you-go parking on the street. We would stay at "The Loft" again, as this was a Very Good value compared to the pricey hotel market in Reykjavik.

Good location

We enjoyed our stay. There may have been a few housekeeping issues, but nothing that would prevent us renting again. Busses will not pick you up at this location for tours, but the nearest bus stop is a block away. There are many nice places to eat in this area. For Americans wanting coffee before an early morning tour...you will have to make your own as coffee shops don't open until around 9:00. It was a fun visit!

The Apartment was great, but the TV did not work.

For what you had control of, it was good. The rain, wind and the people not being very pleasant, you had nothing to do with that. We needed to do more home work, due to we didn't know the busses would not go to an Apartment, but will go to Hotels. The trip was saved the last night when the clouds left and we were able to see the lights.

great centrally located apartment

This is a wonderful apartment that is within 10 to 15 min. walk from just about everywhere around the town. the beds are comfortable and the area is quiet. The owner responded quickly to our emails. This is a place i highly recommend.

City Center Apartment

Great apartment in the the city center. We were able to walk to all of the local tourist sites and restaurants. You can't tell by the picture but the living room has a great view of the waterfront. The kitchen is well stocked, both bedrooms are large enough and have plenty of closet space. The washing machine/dryer is a combined unit and works well.

Awesome loft apartment in great location!

Our family stayed in the loft apartment and it was perfect for us. So nice to have a kitchen to make breakfast and a couple of easy dinners. From the living room windows you can see down to the water and up a couple of blocks in the other direction is the main shopping street. We very much enjoyed our stay and Gunnar, the owner, was very responsive via email and accommodating with our arrival/departure times!

Great Location

This is a great place to rent because of the location. However, if you want to cook some meals, the kitchen is not very equipped.

Perfect accommodation. Perfect location

This is a fantastic apartment, in a great location. The place is immaculate. The kitchen contains all the essentials, so you can self-cater. It is right in the heart of Reykjavik but is still VERY quiet. Bedding was extremely comfortable. There are two bedrooms and a pull out couch. Highly recommend this place.
