When it comes to Spanish property rentals- it's not just the indoor space and facilities that matter-it's the quality of the outdoor space that really counts! With a comfortable well equipped,relaxing, light and airy interior this is also the ideal property for enjoying outdoor living, whether you are sun bathing, swimming, dining or just relaxing. Our recently refurbished, attractive and self contained house with large roof terrace is in a small terraced development. Our recently refurbished, attractive and self contained house with large roof terrace is in a small terraced development. Located in a quiet residential area but within walking distance to all amenities, with three private terraces, British and Spanish tv, and DVD. Aircon in all rooms. The back door of the property opens out into a private garden with a lockable gate which opens directly to the communal gardens and pools.There are three pools,a children's shallow pool, a standard pool and a deep pool all joined by waterfalls. The private lower terrace to the rear of the property has stone patio furniture,umbrella,BBQ,plants, lighting and overlooks the communal garden and pools which are exclusive to only 19 properties. In addition there is a spacious private roof terrace equipped with 4 sunbeds,patio furniture on an artificial turf surface,lighting and a retractable full width canopy.It is a sun trap for most of the day and is a pleasant evening retreat for drinks and meals. The front of the property has a small terrace and looks across the front garden to a park area. Restaurants,bars and shops are a 5 minute walk away. Beaches of La Zenia and Playa Flamenca are 15 minutes drive. Villamartin Plaza 5 minutes, La Zenia Boulevard shopping Mall 15 minutes. Please note that we do not charge extra for the WiFi, or for electric, but we ask guests to be sensible in use of the Aircon. The WiFi is now fibre optic (not 4g) and therefore has a fast strong signal. Please note that the pools are drained for maintenance between the 1st of November and 1st of April each year. In common with Spanish holiday lets we require the cost of house cleaning and laundry to be paid to the keyholder on arrival and this is 50 Euros. For arrivals after 18.00 and check out after 10.00 this is by special arrangement and there is a 25 euro charge. All these costs are paid locally on arrival. Please note that these charges are mandatory and a condition of your booking. It is also a condition of the booking that guests comply with community rules paricularly regarding the use of the pools. Please phone our keyholder when you have collected your hire car so she can calculate your time of arrival. Details of their contact numbers are made available on this website shortly before the booking commences. The key holders can collect you from Alicante Airport for 50Euros each way or Murcia Airport for 30Euros each way. They can also provide car hire at 10Euros a day. We have been going to LA Zenia for 4 years now and have to say this is by far the best villa we have stayed in so far. Clean & Tidy Ideal for couples or small families . Communal Pool is great for all ages....More

About the neighbourhood
The residential area of El Galan is situated conveniently for the fine sandy beaches of the Costa Calida (Southern Costa Blanca) and is renowned for its top class golf courses, all of which are within 15 minutes drive of the property. At the same time the villa is within a few minutes walk of the countryside with walks and fine views of the far distant Salinas (salt lakes). There are shops,bars and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk down the road .Freshwater fishing is available locally at Padrera reservoir (Valencian licence required). Locally there are water parks and the draw of La Zenia Boulevard with its Children's fountains and play facilities amongst the restaurants,bars and huge selection of shops.
How to get there
Take A7 and AP7 (toll) from Airport towards Cartagena.Turn off for La Zenia ( 50 minutes drive). Immediatly at La Zenia roundabout take left turn for Villamartin. Go over the AP7 and go on till the next roundabout. Go straight on through avenue of trees.to next roundabout. Go straight on to Villamartin Plaza. Go past plaza and left at roundabout . Follow road through the golf course and onto a dual carriageway, till you come to a junction by Morgan's bar. Turn left and continue up hill to another roundabout and turn right. Continue round past Blue Lagoon estate and take a right at the next roundabout by the shops and restaurants. Continue on and the road becomes one way and the property is on the right opposite a central park with palms.
