About the neighbourhood
Anopolis is a small traditional Cretan village tucked away in the mountain above the beach resort of Kokkini Hani. It is made up of mostly farming families and offers a quiet beautiful hideaway for those who want to be near all attractions yet feel in 'real' Crete. The nearest beach is 3klm away at Kokkini Hani, a resort that is famous for its clean long sandy coastline and excellent restaurants and tavernas. The famous Knossos Palace and Archaeological Museum in Heraklion are 1oklm away. The Watercity waterpark, Dinosaur Park, Cretaquarium and Planetarium are all with immediate vicinity making this a perfect choice for families.
Getting around
We recommend that our guests hire transport to get around to the nearby places and we will be happy to organise car, bike or bicycle hire. If for any reason our guest prefers personal services we offer a personal service of car driver/ escort to take them wherever they wish.
