About the neighbourhood
Kolonaki is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of central Athens. A wealthy, upmarket and safe neighborhood, that is quiet and with lots of green spaces. Outdoor seating for cafes and eateries is typical, creating a lively atmosphere day and night.
As one of the capital's leading shopping areas, it is also a fashionable meeting point and includes a variety of designer shops. One of its main shopping streets, Voukourestiou Street, is now known for its extensive jewelry collection. The Athens Concert Hall, a modern building which superb acoustics and facilities, the center of cultural musical life in Athens, is also located in the neighborhood. Museums and galleries also abound in the area with The Benaki Museum - inside a preserved neoclassical manor house - and the Goulandris Mu...
Getting around
All major attractions are easily and quickly accessible: the famously upscale Kolonaki Square with its beautiful shops and cafes all around is just an 8 min walk. 2 mins away is The Mount Lycabetus funicular where you can take the cable car and experience breathtaking views of Athens, the Acropolis, the Aegean Sea and the mountains surrounding the city. The historical center of Athens with the Acropolis and the picturesque neighborhoods of “Plaka” and “Monastiraki” are only 2 metro stops away. From there you can continue to the adjoining neighborhoods of “Psiri” and “Gazi”, the hot spots of nightlife in Athens, full of restaurants, cafes, music venues and clubs. The Port of Piraeus can be accessed within 20 minutes by metro, bus or taxi.
Car not needed
How to get there
Airport: Eleftherios Venizelos: 32.0 km
Railway: Evngalismos Metro Station: 0.5 km
Ferry: Pireus: 32.0 km
From the airport you can either take the metro to Evangelismos station (costs 9 eur) or the X95 bus to the same station (costs 6 eur) and then just walk to the apartment (10 mins). If you are travelling with a lot of luggage or with young children/ elderly people, we would recommend a taxi, as the walk from the metro station is uphill. The taxi will cost 3,50 eur to the flat. You will find a taxi rank on Marasli str, the side street just outside Evangelismos hospital.

Please always inform me of your arrival time so to arrange to meet for the keys pick up etc.
