We (4 Adults) stayed for a little over a week, and would have loved to stay longer. Joaquim welcomed us warmly and was a great guide to the sights and pleasures of the Douro valley. He showed us great Port Wineries as well recommended us good restaurants. There is plenty of space in the rubble stone house, everything is working as described. There is a big garden and additionally a camping ground. The shower in bamboo is a lovely experience! We were allowed to harvest vegetables (tomatoes, salad, and more) from the garden. We had great fun with cooking or barbecuing and had all meals we prepared in the pavilion overlooking the valley. The location is quiet, but is easy to reach. No effort driving there if you are used a little to drive in the mountains. There is a little supermarket in St Martha some 5km (10min) driving, supplying your daily needs. In Vila Real is more shopping and also professional car workshops available if you need like we did.
