2 bedroom charming apartment with front amazing view to National Pantheon, ideally located in old town Lisbon, Alfama, near the flea market, Castle and close to Subway and Santa Apolónia train station. Recently refurbished with good taste. It is on a third floor, no elevator. It has an amazing view to the National Pantheon, at the door of Alfama neighbourhood. The house hosts up to 5 guests (plus baby). There are 2 bedrooms with The 'Panteão View', one double and one single. The single bedroom is also to be considered a living/reading room, with an individual bed that serves as sofa. On the other side of the house, with the 'Garden View' there is another double bedroom, the kitchen and the wc (with shower). The dinning/living room is in the middle of the house, where the entrance is. Registry #8464/AL I live in this neighbourhood and love to just walk anywhere, greet my neighbours that always care for us and our children and have so much to do and things available, such as i) have a wonderful expresso with the best home made piece of chocolate just by the apartment, ii) go treasure hunting on Tuesdays and Saturdays in the flea Market iii) have a snack or a drink in the park with a wonderful view of the river and the Pantheon iv) visit one of the most unknown places in Lisbon with full sized model casts of some of the most important statues of Lisbon v) listen to fado vi) choose from most traditional delicious portuguese food restaurants to up class, modern and chef meals vii) visit several monuments and museums, etc, I could just go on... But we invite you to experience our neighbourhood yourselves. HOUSE RULES ARRIVAL We need to know your arrival time at least 2 days in advance. Standard check-in is after 15:00 and check-out is before 12:00. However we are flexible with check-in and check-out times, depending on previous or after bookings, so depending on your travel schedule, we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Early (before 07:00) or late (after 22:00) arrivals will have an extra charge of 25.00 euros. TELEVISION There is no TV in the apartment, we love a non-TV world but understand there’s a lot of people who don’t agree with this philosophy. However, try to enjoy your stay in a different way. Take advantage of these few days you're staying to explore out and relax in. We are sure you will find Lisbon very entertaining and have also a good collection of books available to read with background music. Really hope you won't even miss TV while here. CLEANING & MAINTENANCE: The apartment is cleaned prior to your arrival. On your departure the accommodation should be left in a reasonable condition but you don’t need to worry about cleaning: we’ll take care of it. If anything doesn’t work properly during your stay please let us know as soon as possible, and we’ll try to fix it quickly. We’ll phone you on your contact number if we need to access the apartment for any repairs or maintenance. CARE OF THE APARTMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES We appreciate and trust you will treat the apartment and all of its equipment with care. The apartment is in a private building and we do have neighbours. As the apartment is not completely soundproof –everyone expects a low level of noise from neighbors– please be considerate of noise, particularly in the evenings and at night. About the neighbourhood
Ideally located in city center, it is close to several city attractions: - National Pantheon - Fado Museum - Sao Vicente de Fora Monasterium - Flee Market - Saramago Foundation - Military Museum - MUDE Museum - Alfama neigbourhood The neighbourhood also as a great choice of family-run restaurants, fado or more up-market restaurants (most with stunning views of the river), supermarket, several groceries, cafes, bars and other type of shops. It has a bus station at 100m, the Subway and train station at 500m. But I guess, that being in the city center, you will be walking most of the time :-) It is at walking distance of monuments like the Pantheon, S. Vicente Fora Monasterium, St. George Castle, Praça do Comercio, the Tagus River, museums (Military, Modern Art (MUDE), Saramago Foundation, Fado, Decorative Arts), etc.
Getting around
Santa Apolonia, train and subway station Regular buses (ex 712) and tram 28 (at Calçada Sao Vicente) Just walk, you're in city center in one of the most visited neighborhood and close to lots of attractions (Alfama, Flea Market, National Pantheon, Castle, Fado Museum, S. Vicente Monasterium, etc)
