We hope you enjoy your stay! #The space My beautiful one bedroom apartment is ideally located near Alameda, just a short distance from the tube (Alameda station). The living area is bright and modern, with a big comfortable sofa and a TV so you can sit back after a day exploring the city. There's a dining area so you can hang out with your family and friends or share a nice home cooked meal. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal, including stove, microwave, pots and pans and cutlery. The bed is made up with fresh, luxury linens to ensure a great night’s sleep! You’ll also find plenty of storage space so you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away. The bedroom does not have an actual division between the living room (downstairs) and the bedroom, so you might want to consider this when booking. There's a bathrooms, which is the perfect place to freshen up - wake up in the mornings with the fantastic shower! Fluffy white towels and shampoo are provided. My place will be professionally cleaned before your stay. #Guest access You will have the whole place to yourself. We will provide you with the products needed for it, as well as basic supplies for cooking and shower. The whole place is available. #Interaction with guests My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know Lisbon like the back of their hand! I trust them to look after you and give you a warm welcome! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform. #Transit The closest transport link is just a 3 minutes walk away, in Alameda, a crossroad where you have a Metro station (green and red line) and buses. So you can easily get around the city. Alternatively, city taxis and Uber cars are plentiful and easy to find near you. #Neighbourhood Located at the intersection of the red and green metro lines, Alameda is a useful transport hub in Lisbon, meaning you can travel to many different parts of the city both quickly and easily. The wide boulevard (Alameda d. Afonso Henriques) that provides the area with its name features a garden which is great for enjoying a walk in the sunshine, and there is also a kiosk-bar where you can purchase a cheap and refreshing glass of cold beer as you stroll. Because of its proximity to the Instituto Superior Técnico, the whole Alameda area is popular with students, which gives Alameda a youthful, fun feel to it. Though it is not generally included amongst the top tourist attractions in the city, Alameda is home to the Fonte Luminosa, a stunning illuminated fountain that dates back to the 1930s and the height of the Estado Novo classicist architectural revival. You will have plenty of good options for eating out in Alameda, with restaurants catering to every taste. For delicious fresh fish, cooked on the grill, head to Corva Funda where you can also tuck into great stew on Thursdays. If you are in the mood for cheap and cheerful Indian food, then Alameda Restaurant is well liked by locals in the area and provides no-fuss, good quality Indian cuisine in a casual environment. For more typically Portuguese fare, try Há Tapas no Mercado for simple yet delicious tapas dishes with ingredients including sausage and cheese from all over Portugal. For a drink in the evening, Bora-Bora is one of the best local cocktail bars to enjoy a refreshing drink in fun surroundings. #Notes - The flat capacity is for 2 people, no additional guests allowed. - Check-in and keys: please note there will be a €25 fee for check-ins before 8 am and after 10 pm, and guests will be charged €40 for lost keys. - Hot water: the water heater has limited capacity. Once the hot water runs out, it will take some time for the water to warm up. - Electricity: It is fairly common in Lisbon for the electricity to trip if more than 2 high wattage electrical appliances are being used at the same time. Guests are advised to keep this in mind when using appliances like heaters, washing machine, hairdryers, toasters, fans, etc, and there will be a €40 charge in case electricity trips due to overuse. Most homes in Portugal don’t have central heating or air conditioning, heaters and fans will be provided. - City tax and ID: Government mandated city tax of €2 per person per day (except children under 12 years), will be charged to you at check-in and your Govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws.
