My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay. #Access You will have the whole place to yourself. We will provide you with the products needed cooking and shower. You may occasionally hear noise from neighbouring apartments, as most buildings in Lisbon aren’t soundproofed! #Interaction My friends at Hostmaker are looking after my home while I am away; they are a short-lets management service team who know Lisbon like the back of their hand! If you have any questions about your stay, please get in touch through the channel platform. #Neighbourhood Situated in the beautiful neighbourhood of Lapa. It was in this area that, in the eighteenth century, when Lisbon was still expanding, the nobility and the bourgeoisie stood up. Nowadays, this historical heritage is still felt. It is one of the most pleasant districts of Lisbon, with large and old houses perfectly preserved, many of them old palaces. The imposing Estrela Basilica marks the meeting point of many groups, just in front of Jardim da Estrela, where the elders spend the afternoon playing cards and the children have fun in the playground. This garden at the top is the only flat spot, and the whole neighbourhood unfolds down one of the several hills of Lisbon. Many of the houses have breathtaking views over the city. You can see the river Tagus and Ponte 25 de Abril in the distance, and you can hear the sound of tram 28 up the steep Calçada da Estrela. Lapa is a central district, quiet and full of life at the same time. There are several good supermarkets, as well as bakeries and restaurants. You can also easily reach nightlife and pubs. Explore within walking distance cultural landmarks, shopping districts, or simply wander through the traditional streets of Lisbon. #Transit The closest bus station is 2 minutes from the flat, where you can take the tram 25E and buses number 713 and 774. The train station Alcântara (Cais Sodré - Cascais) is also nearby. From the airport: walk to the bus stop in 'Praça do Aeroporto' and catch bus number 783 (to Amoreiras C.Comercial) and get off in the last station (Amoreiras C.Comercial); then cross the street to catch other bus - number 713 (to Estação de Campolide) and get off in station called 'Rua de S. Domingos' - now just walk down the street and turn first right. #Notes - The flat capacity is for 4 people, no additional guests allowed. There is a double sofa bed in the living room. - Check-in and keys: please note there will be a €25 fee for check-ins before 8 am and after 10 pm, and guests will be charged €40 for lost keys or lockouts. - Hot water: the water heater has limited capacity. Once the hot water runs out, it will take some time for the water to warm up. - Electricity: It is fairly common in Lisbon for the electricity to trip if more than 2 high wattage electrical appliances are being used at the same time. Guests are advised to keep this in mind when using appliances like heaters, washing machine, hairdryers, toasters, fans, etc, and there will be a €40 charge in case of electricity trips due to overuse. Most homes in Portugal don’t have central heating or air conditioning, heaters and fans will be provided. - City tax and ID: Government mandated city tax of €2 per person per day (except children under 12 years), will be charged to you at check-in and your Govt ID will be collected at check-in for submission to the authorities as required by local laws. Please note city tax is only applicable for a maximum of 7 days continuously, we do not accept cash. - Finally, please be eco-friendly and turn off all the lights and electrical appliances (such as heaters and fans) when you leave the apartment!
