Very peaceful residential neighbourhood, where three generations mix: the first inhabitants who went to live there in the 1950’s, the families with kids and the university students. It has a truly neighbourhood feel.
Side by side with these residential streets, you have the crossroad of two of the best commercial avenues in Lisboa: Avenida da Igreja and Avenida de Roma.
Specially in Avenida da Igreja (two minutes away from the apartment) you have lots of traditional shops: that’s one of the reasons why it is called one of the last open air “shopping centres” in Lisboa!
Here you will find a large choice of restaurants, with Portuguese and international cuisine, for all budgets, where families gather at weekends.
It’s also an area of lively coffee shops.
The district where all the “Lisboetas” dream to live!

We stayed here booked as 4 adults for 3 nights. Very mixed feelings. Positives first! Clean enough on arrival, kitchen basic but ok, location close to metro and large supermarket, washing machine and detergent for use. Negatives! Sofabed click clack style not really big enough for 2 adults comfortably sleeping area in small
Lounge open onto kitchen with very noisy fridge all night. Kitchen ok lacking any type of serving bowl for fruit or salad, saucepans very small not able to cook pasta for 4 using just one. Location whilst convenient is directly under Lisbon airport flight path and very noisy up until 11pm starting again at 6am not mentioned in any review or description.Although neighbourhood was in good location near metro neighbours outside talking and smoking on midweek evening til gone midnight making sleep impossible.
A real shame as potentially very pleasant in a different location. Not rested as full nights sleep impossible. I would dread to attempt to sleep in hot peak summer unable to open windows due to noise! Review written at 00.10 and still planes flying over!
