The sitting room area has seating for up to 10 people, HD satellite Plasma TV with DVD player and recorder and 4-column stereo sound. Also telephone with wi-fi internet access. Two French windows lead to the garden and swimming pool area.
Fully equipped kitchen - American two-door fridge/freezer with ice and water dispensers, dishwasher, washing machin and tumble dryer, double wall-oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, snadwich toaster, radio/CD player and other electrical kitchen gadgets.

Interaction with guests:Â About a week before arrival at the house, you will receive confirmation of the telephone number of our caretaker. Please telephone this number as you approach the house so that she can be waiting outside the electronic gates to greet you, show you around the house and give you the keys.
A Welcome Pack will be provided, including bottled water, tea and coffee and chocolate sachets, biscuits and a bottle of red wine. There will also be tourist information, information about local services and instructions for use of the TVs etc.
Stayed for a fortnight with our 3 teenage children, and we all had a lovely time. The house has everything you could need, and is very spacious. The pool, though small, made sitting outside a joy.
Beautiful views, a delightful area, with great beaches in easy reach. Perfect.

Beautiful Villa in beautiful location
What a gem this villa was, absolutely beautiful inside and out with everything you could possibly need, including a lovely welcome pack. The villa is immaculately clean and very spacious. There were 4 adults and 2 children (12 and 9) in our group and we had plenty of space, the kids, particularly liked the American type fridge/freezer with ice cold water, ice and crushed ice dispenser. There is a very nice little bar up in the village a short walk from villa and also a fresh bakery next door to the bar, where we got our fresh bread each morning. The only down side for us was that we made the mistake of hiring a 9 seater people carrier which was not conducive with this villa and the surrounding area. I would suggest using small car(s) as the roads are very narrow and can get very busy at times.

The best villa with pool holiday we have ever had!
Superb villa in a quiet village within easy reach of Sintra, Lisbon, Cascais and the West coast beaches. Well appointed; the villa is fitted out with everything that we needed. Excellent Wi-Fi. The pool area is not overlooked and was the ideal retreat for the family with enough space for everyone to do their own thing. Perfect for our family with teenage children.

About the neighbourhood
Within minutes of driving, you will find a choice of sandy beaches, namely Praia Grande with its surfing facilities (home of surfing world championships) and Praia das Macas, where there is a selection of shops and restaurants, specialising in local dishes, especially fish and shellfish etc. Both beaches have Olympic-sized sea-water swimming pools with faciliies for chldren. Also, there is Praia da Adraga, the nearest to the villa, a small sandy and rocky beach with a good restaurant.
A good selection of golf courses can be found within approximately 15 -20 kms distance. As well as golf, a driving range can be found much nearer. Some local activities are available including surfing and riding etc. Nearby, over the weekends, there is a colourful and friendly street market selling fresh fruit and vegetables and other foods.

How to get there
The property is approx 35kms from Lisbon airport. On leaving the airport, follow the signs for the main road (IC19) to Sintra until you reach exit 14, marked "praias" in brown. Take this exit on to the A16 and take the second exit, marked "Sintra". Follow the signs for Sintra, taking the second exit at the next two roundabouts, past Sintra station on your left. Drive through the high street and take the second exit at the next roundabout (with a fountain) on to the N247 and follow the tram line.
Follow the road through Colares and up a hill until you see a turning on your right, marked Almocageme. Immediately opposite this road is a another turning, marked Penedo.
Take this turning and follow the road for approx. 1 km, past a pink house on your left also called Casal Santo Antonio, up to our Casal Santo Antonio, also on your left. It is situated just before a T-junction (on the right) and a stone arch (just in front). Our caretaker will be waiting for you outside the electronic gates to greet you..
