Country Home Heaven!
Located in the hills surrounding the lagoon city of Aveiro, The Backyard Bungalow at Vale da Silva Villas offers a perfect escape to the country. Hand-built, the Bungalow offers all modern amenities in its open-plan kitchen/dining/living area. Screened off from the rest of the estate by a small lemon grove, tranquil afternoons sat reading or simply taking in the beautiful natural surroundings was a fast antidote to the stress and tension of a busy city life. However, if you still need to remain connected to the grid, internet access and TV are there for you to enjoy. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor area in the evenings where the bulb-lit path through the grove gave a romantic mediterranean ambiance. The swimming pool area too was a wonderful area to kick back and relax. The host family were warm and welcoming and could not do enough to make my stay comfortable. They are well versed in this style of accommodation and are ready to offer help, advice and local knowledge when it comes to exploring the local area. This place is idyllic!

Amazing space in the midlle of nature
Simply amazing, the "Casa do fundo" is an excellent choice for people who travel in family!
The house is clearly brand new, with modern facilities, very well decorated which gives a very warm and cozy atmosphere for those who stay there.
The house has lot's of privacy since is located in a place with trees all around, the gardens very well maintained with lots of pets which my kids loved to play with! The swimming pool is really near to the house which is great to have a break from the sun and take a nap or grab something to eat!
Isabel and her family were really friendly and helpful, they even took us on a tour to Aveiro (nearby city) and Costa Nova beach. Her daughter was great with my kids and let them took a ride on both horses that they have! My kids were thrilled and already asked me to come back next year!

Basic and outpriced for its value
The wooden shed called "casa do fondo" is newly attached to the property. It´s not more than some timber nailed together with basic finishing. Bathroom is very small and basic. The size is just ok for 2 adults and 2 kids.
The location north-east of Aveiro has a paper-factory in the vicinity and if the wind sits wrong you´ll have a nasty smell hanging around.
Be aware that there are several dogs (behind fence) and many cats on the property and the barking and poo can not be avoided. The animals are all present and though Isabel does her best to clean up the left-behinds...
There is a nice little swimming pool and place to sit outside.
Isabel is a very warm hearted, generous and helpfull lady. No comments what so ever on her hospitality and friendliness. But we thought the place did not offer what we were looking for or what we have paid for.
Luckily we didn´t intend to spend much time there and do daytrips so for that purpose the central location between Porto, the Douro river, Coimbra, Nazare... is a plus.
