There is also loads of space outside where you can seat and enjoy your time in Casas Bemposta.

Nice location, great views, kind owners, good communication, english spoken, very service oriented! Élia waited for us in Monchique to guide us to the farmhouse at 1:30AM because our trip from Faro had been delayed! Warm welcome with wine and bread for next days breakfast.
We did nice walks in the area (Foia mountain = 905m!) and visited lovey restaurants, enjoyed the local food. We are visiting soon again!

The village of Monchique is located in a valley between the mountains of Foia and Picota. The village is about 10 minutes away driving and is where you have the main shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
There is a coffee shop about 5 minutes walking from the house which is great for a nice espresso!
The house is located in the slope of Picota peak which is 774m high above the sea level and the 2nd highest mountain of Monchique. Picota peak is only a 7-10 minutes drive from the house! Once you get to the top of the mountain you get to see views of the Algarve and in clear days you can even see the West Portuguese Coast!
The nearest beach is about 35 minutes away by car which is in Portimão.
By renting this place in Monchique you get the best of the two worlds - You are in a quiet area in the mountain where you can enjoy nature at its best and you are also only 35 minutes away by car from the city of Portimão where you have lovely beaches to go to.
