Great for Winter Long Stay
We stayed for 2months to escape the winter. Everything was fine, helpful friendly staff and apartment clean and convenient with all you need to self cater. The location is superb being convenient for the beach, Intermarche for groceries, restaurants and bars, buses to town, taxis and coach trips to the rest of the Algarve and Spain.
One small let down is the noise due to the construction of the building with hard surfaces and tiled floors. Not being used to community living, we were woken by some inconsiderate other guests who stayed for less time than us and would bang doors, scrape chairs, stamp about in high heel shoes sometimes at 02:30 and flush toilets throughout the night. The top floors would be little better maybe, there is little the owners can do about this as an attitude heard from a Brit was " I paid my money i am going to enjoy myself ", that is, belching and making animal noises in public.
Note for smokers, these apartments are non smoking, elicit smoking indoors will also cause disturbance to others by setting off the fire alarm, we endured 4 false alarms one in the middle of the night always caused by new short stay guests.

comfortable but needs to improve
L’appartement 13 E au rez-de-chaussée donne sur la route et n'est pas le mieux placé. Appartement est propre et confortable et accueil à la réception est bien. La cuisine est assez bien équipe mais il manquait une presse fruits indispensable dans la région des oranges, et il n'y a que une seul prise pour le bouilloire, le cafetière et le micro onde. Coté l'hospitalité, peux vraiment faire mieux. Pourquoi les hébergements comme ça qui vantent ses 4 étoiles ne peuvent pas proposer gracieusement les sachets du thé, café, sucre, lait et une bouteille eau? Et pourquoi est ce que le coffre est payant? 2 euros par jour. La réception télé laisse à désirer, la qualité de réception est très mauvaise pour le plupart des chaines. La plage se trouve au moins 400 m plus loin et la piscine se trouve dans un autre bâtiment.

Very poor
Stayed here for 3 days... did not rate it at all.. pool was small.. kids were not allowed to play ball in the pool.. staff were rude kids.. couldn't do anything around the pool without the staff having something to say.. sunbeds are tied to posts which made it difficult getting on in the sun.. food was poor and the bar consisted of on beer tap inside a cafe! Rooms were very basic.. tiles had cracks and the air conditioning was faulty! We booked a room sleeping 4.. 2 of us had a bed and the other two slept on the floor with a pull out mattress we asked reception this and they stated this was what we booked.. we asked for one bedroom apartment sleeping 4.. so we expected 4 beds not a matress on the floor! Glad it was only 3 days wouldn't recommend this place

Worst experience of my life avoid!
Not child friendly at all, apartments nothing but noise every night, shouting loud music, all adults around the pool no families, the noise was that bad we were moved to another apartment where the same thing happened again, decided enough was enough and booked our flight home, was our first holiday as well! Nothing to do in the area but bars and restaurants. Won’t be coming back!

About the neighbourhood
Albufeira city belongs to the District of Faro in the Algarve. Albufeira is the largest council of the Algarve with 140.57 km ² and 40,657 inhabitants, divided into five parishes. The council is bordered to the northwest by the municipality of Silves, Loulé by northeast, and south has an extensive coastline of the Atlantic Ocean.<BR><BR>In the early 1960s, saw the awakening of Albufeira to the tourism phenomenon, due to its historical heritage but mainly by its approximately 30 km of coast presented with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Currently the county is the largest number of blue flags.

How to get there
You can get here by plane, through the Faro International Airport located about 37 km, by car or bus. The bus station is about a 1 km away, and the train station about 6 km.
From Faro airport, follow the signs for Albufeira on the A22 (highway “Via do Infante”). Leave the highway at the Albufeira exit and go straight ahead, across all roundabouts until you reach the last roundabout, which has two world globes. Turn left at this roundabout and then go straight ahead over four roundabouts (1st Lidl, 2nd Watch roundabout - 3nd Worms roundabout and 4th with a globe). Turn right at the fourth roundabout with the globe with water at the exit signposted STA. EULÀLIA / OURA. Continue until the next roundabout with palm trees than turn right. The Hotel is on the left-hand side.
