The villa is situated on the charming Quinta da Saudade private estate just outside the village of Vale De Parra, near Gale beach. Rustic in character with plenty of charm and a roof terrace offering total seclusion and fantastic views!
The villa has 1 twin bedded room, and 1 double bedded, with an en suite shower room. The sofa can accommodate a small child as an extra person, however to give you the space to move around freely, 4 occupants in total is more ideal. There is a family bathroom, kitchen, lounge & dining area. It's fully air conditioned and we've tried to create a 'home from home' feeling for all our guests, supplying little extra's such as an X box & games, and iphone docking station together with FREE WIFI throughout the villa. There are 2 pools, (never over crowded), Tennis Courts, Riding Stables, a children's play area and a charming restaurant offering a great selection of home cooked food, all at very reasonable prices. The bar is ideal for a night cap and the pool bar is a great meeting place for lunch too and they do a great choice of Cocktails!
If you're planning to go away as part of a larger group, perhaps with other golfers, friends or family, we are directly next door to property 348047. Combined, our villa's can sleep up to 10 adults and 2 infants. Please check both listings and ,subject to availability, enquire with either owner as to any deals to be had by booking both, especially out of high season. You have your own space yet you can all be together too. A great idea for Christmas & New Year!

Parents of toddlers need to be mindful of the steps and balcony's surrounding the villa. Equally, the location of the villa isn't ideal for less abled walkers given the numerous, steep steps around the Quinta.
A car is strongly recommended as although the shops, restaurants and beaches are just 10 minutes away, the pavements on the surrounding roads are narrow and the walk is a long one.

A friendly and comfortable cottage at a beautiful location
This cottage is large enough to house two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living, a kitchen and a large terrace on the roof. It is equiped with airco's and a laundry machine. It is located on the beautiful hills of Quinta da Saudade. On the Quinta itself, you find a local restaurant and two pools.
We stayed at this location with three adults and we enjoyed it. The cottage is friendly and functional, the Quinta is very pretty and the restaurant offers good food and wine and is decently priced.
So that you know, the place is a little quiet, different than being in a town like Albufeira. We took the right decision to rent a car for our stay to explore the area but, if you intend to just take short trips, Uber will work fine.
Overall, an excellent experience. We certainly consider staying there again.

Gorgeous, traditional villa in beautiful setting. Beach and food heaven.
Our experience started with owners that are super easy to communicate with and then found the Villa perfectly clean and everything living up to expectation. In other words, the photos reflect what you get - a well appointed, home from home with stunning views. The Villa is set in a charming, traditional Portuguese estate with well cared for gardens and pools. The pools were never busy. The restaurant on site is excellent. Food wise we felt spoilt for choice. The short car journey ( 8 mins )to Armacao de Pera gives you access to many restaurants, cafes and other food outlets like ice cream shops, churro vendors etc. This town is mainly occupied by Portuguese holiday makers, which we personally loved. If you are after the British holiday maker vibe you are better off going to Albufeira.
The local area has many beaches - big sweeping sandy ones or lots of cliff backed little ones. They all have a lovely cafe/bar on them.
There are lots of options for walks- cliff top, through bird nature reserve or along the town sea front.
We were there for a week and only scratched the surface of things we wanted to do. We will definitely return. I’d highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxed, comfortable, holiday away from the package holiday vibe.

Paradise
Having just returned from 10 fantastic days which was our 3rd stay in Villa 3A, we wish we were still there!
Dealing with Jo & Steve is an absolute pleasure, and nothing is too much trouble. The villa is a real home from home, and the Quinta is so so peaceful.
Already ready booked for next September. Yes the testing was in place but if you follow the rules and have all the paperwork we found there was no issues. We also wish that the UK was as strict on mask wearing as they are in Portugal, it is to protect everyone, and their low infection rate says it all.

Amazing roof terrace!
The roof terrace in this villa was fabulous, really well furnished for bbq's and beautiful place to chill out in the evenings on the comfy sofa. Lovely views. Villa really well equipped and really tastefully furnished with very comfortable beds! Two fabulous swimming pools and we generally had them to ourselves which was fantastic, very clean, well kept grounds. Also a 'quiet' pool so if it ever was busy there's the option to hang out at this one! Great idea! Nice location of the property for trips out and about, beautiful local beaches. Our daughter also did a private horseriding trek from the stables below which was brilliant. Would definetely recommend this villa to stay at for friends or families.

Perfect Autumn Retreat
I fall in love with this magical, secluded spot more deeply each time I visit. We have been back in the UK for a week and have already booked our next stay!
Booking is really simple and straightforward plus Jo is so kind, friendly and helpful.
It's great weather in late Autumn and delectably tranquil and peaceful. We had glorious sunshine nearly all week with just one day of rain but we didn't mind because we snuggled up by the log burner cosily reading a book or watching Netflix on the smart TV. While it was sunny we enjoyed walks over the wetlands to Salgados, strolling down the beach and drinking coffees at the lovely cafes.
Mostly it was just great to switch off and languish in the heavenly suntrap that is the roof terrace. Jo has got this amazing L-shaped outdoor sofa with the softest cushions which are perfect for sunbathing but also for a civilised teatime with custard tarts and obviously it's a super hangout for sundowner G&Ts.
There is a lovely open aspect up there. It's so calming looking down over the wetland to the sea and seeing the elegant silhouettes of the trees within the mature gardens of the quinta.
Jo has beautiful taste and the inside of the villa is very stylish, comfortable and with every home comfort you could ask for. I think I already mentioned the marvellous TV and the wifi is very reliable. I love the colonial style of the furniture and the sofa is absolutely sublime. The log burner makes everything so cosy in the low-season months but there is also heating if you need it. There was a small supply of logs already available on this occasion but there's a log merchant a 5 minute drive away and they are very used to English expatriates rocking up and paying to fill up their carboots.
The bathrooms are all gorgeous and new too. There is plenty of hot water and there are loads of towels available. Plus soap and a hairdryer which is handy!
Jo has put in a smart new kitchen which was such a pleasure to cook in we didn't actually have a meal out! It was so well-equipped and we had everything we needed to make boeuf bourguignon, roast a chicken and bake macaroni cheese.
Best of all was the enormous bed which was like something out of the White Company catalogue! Amazing mattress, superb pillows and beautiful white bedding. My husband and I had both been feeling seriously burnt out so this was just what the doctor ordered. We slept SO well.
The whole week was a tonic for the soul and we feel so much better for a dose of Portuguese fresh air.
Thank you Jo for sharing this wonderful place. And for all your kind hospitality. We can't wait to return!

Fabulous!
We have just returned from our stay at villa 3a, and we absolutely loved it. The villa is so lovely. I loved it so much I could live there and is most definitely has that home from home feel. I travelled with my husband and five year old son. There are two lovely pools and my son loved the horse stables. Jo was incredible at giving advise and recommendations on surrounding areas. Of which we went to a couple of restaurants she suggested and they were brilliant. It was a lovely touch when we arrived to a bottle of wine and other essentials to get us started. Jo has thought of everything and it was very much appreciated. For example you could buy oranges from local farmers from the roadside and in the kitchen Jo had supplied a juicer giving us an option to make fresh juice every morning. This is without a doubt the best holiday our family have ever had and much of that is down to where we stayed. I can not recommend this place more. We would love to stay there again in the future.

Amazing villa
We have just stayed in villa 3a and have to say it’s amazing. The level of comfort is outstanding. There’s everything you need and more. The roof terrace is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the views. This was our 11th visit to the Quinta and so far this is our favourite villa. It was a pleasure to book with Jo, great communication. We really hope to stay again sometime. If you want a first class villa to stay in and first class booking, then look no further. We loved it.

Second Stay....As impressed as first time
As the title says this was our second stay at Villa 3A, Quinta da Saudade, and we were impressed this time just as much as we were on our first visit.
The villa is clean and comfortable, and you can tell its loved by Jo and Steve the owners as they are continually improving things. Since our last visit the twin beds in the main bedroom have been replaced with a very comfortable double bed. The sun terrace, and steps have been replaced, and so have the loungers on the roof terrace.
The weather for the first 9 days wasn't as kind as expected, so unlike our first stay which we spent round the pool, down the beach, or up on the terrace, this time we got to appreciate how comfortable and well equipped the inside of the villa is.
The grounds are as beautiful especially when all those plants we struggle back home are in full bloom, and both the swimming pools were as inviting as last time. The Quit Pool was most popular as its sheltered from the wind, however a couple of afternoons I got the lower pool to myself.
When we did go down to the beach it was as good as always even if there were fewer people and most were taking a stroll rather than a swim, but when the sun come out for the last few days it was 'business as usual'.
The Apolonia Supermarket (5 mins drive) and the Continete at Algarve Shopping offer take away dinners for those who dont want to cook nor dine out.

Brilliant
We stayed at 3a the very beginning of May. Weather perfect. The villa had everything you could possibly need. We had a couple of problems which were dealt with quickly. We were the first guests in this season. Everyone on the complex was very friendly. Would go again.

The Quinta da Saudade lies in a valley approximately 5 miles West of Albufeira and just a 40 minute drive from the airport at Faro. It is situated in open countryside surrounded by farmland and, towards the sea, a nature reserve. Naturally the views are fantastic! Apart from Albufeira the closest towns are Armacao de Pera to the West, and Guia to the North, both a mere 3 miles away.
