Our first floor holiday apartment has 2 rooms (bedroom with en-suite and kitchen/diner). It has its own private entrance, car parking and garden space. For those without a car it is an excellent base for both walking and cycling - arrangements can be made to pick up clients and or luggage from the ferry if required.

The accommodation comprises of a double bedroom (with ample space for a cot ) and an en-suite with bath / shower combination. The kitchen/diner offers good cooking, dining and lounge facilities.

The apartment provides an excellent base for those who enjoy the outdoor life, as the location is on the boundary of Brading marshes. This was the RSPB's first reserve on the Isle of Wight. One of us (Kate or Hugh) will around at your arrival time to welcome you and show you around. The apartment is self contained with its own private entrance. However, we do also live in the building so we are available to handle any queries or problems. Please note that we also have a dog, though we try to keep him separate from our guests.

A super base to explore the island from. Hugh and Kate made sure that we had everything we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Obviously the gorgeous weather helped too. Thank you both!

Lovely, cosy flat in a beautiful old house. The surroundings were quiet and relaxing with Brading high street just minutes away. Easy to get to from Ryde with a bus service and a train station five minutes from the town. The flat contained everything you...More

About the neighbourhood
The Apartment is an integral part of Mulberry Lawn residence which was the old rectory of St Mary's Church. The property is in a quiet location surrounded by gardens and. It is situated on the edge of Brading marshes bird reserve with very good coastal and inland walks and only 1.5 miles to the coast at Bembridge
Getting around
Brading has it's own railway station with links to Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin. There is a major bus route within 200 mtres which connect to Ryde or Sandown and hen links to all other areas of the Island. Rover and multi day bus tickets are available

How to get there
Railway: Brading: 0.5 km
Ferry: Ryde: 3.0 km
There are 3 car ferry ports (which all take passengers) which land at Fishboune, East Cowes and Yarmouth. Fishbourne and Easy Cowes are approxiametely 4 miles and Yarmouth approx 12 miles from the apartment. Ferry prices change according to time of year and time of travel. As expected, popular times are the most expensive. Currently there is a promotion on Wightlink Ferries using Tesco points see the Wightlink website.

Additional Passenger ferries travel from Southsea to Ryde (Hovercraft), Portsmouth (Harbour Railway station) to Ryde & Southamton to West Cowes.
Travel from Ryde to the apartment can be by train, bus or taxi. Alternatively please call to arrange transport. Travel from West Cowes can be arranged for an additional price of £10
