By car: from A11 and A12 exit Lucca Est. Follow directions to Lucca city centre. At the first round about, take the first exit, keeping Lucca's walls on your left. Once you reached Lucca train station square, keep your right and after 500 meters enter Lucca's wall through Porta San Pietro, where you can park your car.

By train: enter Lucca's wall through the pedestrain path which is right in front of the train station's square. From the walls you will see the back of San Martino Cathedral, go down the walls and then turn on Via della Rosa, the first road on the left. The second street on your right is Via del Giardino Botanico.
