The apartment is in an ideal location in Florence, within easy walking distance of all the highlights and close to the railway station. The apartment is large, dates back to 1450 and is full of antiques, very atmospheric.

About the neighbourhood
S.Maria Novella is famous not only for the lovely Renaissance square, and for the Pharmacy that bears the name, but also for the proximity to San Lorenzo market, a delight for foodies and everyday shoppers, where you can find any kind of foods, from fresh produce to local cheeses, sauces, fresh pasta, truffle oils, exquisite breads, meats, fish and seafood. It's conveniently close to the station and few minutes' walk to the Duomo and the river. During your stay, do not miss the beautiful S. Maria Novella Church, one of the most important achievements of the Florentine Renaissance. Inside you will find works by Giotto, Ghirlandaio, Masaccio. Ghirlandaio was Michelangelo's teacher in fresco painting. In S. Maria Novella Michelangelo painted his first fresco as a teenager. The MEDICI CHAPEL ...
Getting around
Florence is a city where you walk everywhere. You can easily rent bicycles and mini electric vehicles in case you have a problem walking and there are tours in these mini vans. A bus can be taken for longer distances such as for Piazzale Michelangelo and to go to Fiesole. If you arrive by car we strongly recommend to park it and leave it there until you leave. No parking is allowed on the street (residents only) and a lot of the center is pedestrian only.
