About the neighbourhood
Verona is one of the main tourist destinations in northern Italy, thanks to its artistic heritage, several worldwide-known annual fairs (Vinitaly, Fieracavalli, Marmomacc etc), shows and operas, such as the Opera Festival in the Arena, the ancient Roman amphitheatre. Because of the value and importance of its many historical buildings, mostly of Roman and Medieval ages, Verona has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, Verona is the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Verona’s Natural history museum contains one of the most valuable collections of fossils and archaeological remains of Europe. Castelvecchio Museum features a collection of sculptures, statues and paintings in a magnificent castle built in 14th century.
Getting around
Highway gate 'Verona Est' 8 minutes away from the villa. Venice can be reached in 1 hour 15 min, Lake Garda in 30 minutes (Peschiera), Vicenza in 35 minutes, Padova in 1 hour, Mantova in 40 minutes, Milan in 2 hours. Verona train station can be reached within 25 minutes drive. The historic center of Verona is just 20 minutes away from our property.
