(CITRA 010046-LT-0198) The owners call it “The colored house”: it is in front of the sea, it has 2 bedrooms (each with 2 beds), 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, living room (with a double bed sofa), kitchen, air conditioning. It is called “colored” because every room has a different color (walls and curtains) of the sea life: orange in the living room (where you can find a sofa bed), pink in one bedroom (where you can find a queen bed), light blue in the second bedroom (where you can find a bunk bed, with beds that can be opened independently), and yellow in the kitchen. The flat is located in the beautiful old Villa: on one side it is front of the sea; the living room and one bedroom open on a long balcony where you can have a cocktail at sun set watching the eastern ligurian coast; on the other side you can have breakfast watching a rich variety of plants of a ligurian park from the kitchen balcony. Crossing the street you meet Pomaro beach, and a few meters far Prelo and Trelo, delightful ligurian beaches. Situated between Rapallo and Santa Margherita, in the beautiful Ligurian coastline (so called Riviera di levante), San Michele di Pagana is a wonderful place to spend the holidays. It is located only 6.5 km from the world-famous Portofino and barely 900 mt. from Santa Margherita. The transparent and cool sea is a blessing in hot summer days. San Michele’s history may be incredible too. There, any person, from a young teenager to a not-so-young-anymore man in vacation, can have a great time! San Michele benefits of a Mediterranean climate. The bright sun and a gentle breeze make a day at the beach much more pleasant. In addition, the sea, sometimes, reflects off the trees’ green color, making the landscape astonishing. The Portofino natural park is one of the richest of the entire world, creating a perfect context for San Michele. The amazing villas and estates, some made in the middle ages, others made in the 1800s, are a fantastic example of the legacy of the Maltese Order. In fact, one of the most famous villas is Villa Malta, which was home to Malta’s Grand Master. The local church, constructed in 1133, is full of incredible paintings, one of which, for example, was made by Van Dyck! In San Michele di Pagana, you would never get bored! At 5 minutes in car (or 2 km) you could go to play golf and tennis in one of the oldest golf clubs in Italy. Discos are very frequent and well known (Covo, Covino, Carillon) in the area, and the real problem would be deciding in which to go! Just walking 20 meters from the main door of the apartment, you can find the beach; or, if you like to enjoy more deeply the Portofino natural park, a professional diving center (to see a lot of fishes or seaweeds that otherwise you would only see on internet) and boats for hire to explore by yourself the famous coast of the Tigullio gulf, reaching from the sea Santa Margherita, Paraggi, Portofino, San Fruttuoso, Camogli and the picturesque small villages whose name is Cinque Terre. All places that you also can easily reach by car, train, bus; or on board of the motor vessels available for boat rides in Santa Margherita. Italy is known for its good food, but in San Michele it is twice as delicious. All fish is fresh: it is fished the very same day! Santa Margherita has an incredible market. The fish is fished in an area of 110 km: between Santa Margherita and Isola Gorgona, in the Tuscan archipelago. Purple-headed prawns and gilthead breams are only some things that can be easily found. Most restaurants are highly rated on advising sites. 25 km west you can find Genova, a metropolis compared to San Michele, but is actually a standard-sized city. The aquarium and its ancient center are the biggest in all Europe. This maritime republic was a very important cultural and economical center in the XVII century and it’s worth visiting what could have been considered the most important city of the world.
