The house can be used as a 1 bedroom (sleeps 4 with sofa bed) apartment or as a house with 3 separate bedrooms(1 ensuite). There is a large kitchen equipped with most facilities and the rooms are of a very good size. There is a private drive for car parking. The garden is extensive and follows down to a private olive grove with fig trees. The house looks up to the village of Pietranico on the hill and is in a stunning location but not too far off the beaten track.

About the neighbourhood
Pietranico, in the province of Pescara, is an old agricultural town. Located on a hill near the Rota River, at an elevation of 1900 feet, the town overlooks the Pescara Valley. Its population is about 700 inhabitants. Pietranico offers friendly shops and bars which are frequented by very hospitable locals. The town grew up around an ancient small castle or fortress, dating from the 11th century and belonging to the Benedictine Monastery at San Clemente a Casauria. Because of its rocky inaccessible location, the castle was a perfect refuge for the monks during raids by the Saracens and Normans who made raids from the coast of Puglia in the south.
