Lovely little hut; great hosts!
I stayed here for a few days on a writing retreat (which it was perfect for). The hut was lovely, clean and cosy. (The wood burner heated it up in no time when things got a bit chilly.) The hosts were really friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. They bring ingredients for a hearty cooked brekkie every morning (bringing me enough for two, even though I was on my own) and they offered to store the extra food I brought in their fridge. They even picked me up from the local train station when I was stranded there due to rubbish local taxis. There are two villages about an hour's walk away, and lots of nice meanders to be had on local footpaths. All in all - a lovely stay :)

Amazing, we will be back...
Great location for exploring Kent. The shepherds hut experience was my first. This place CANNOT be faulted.... It was a VERY good experience. Alastair and Janice were the perfect hosts, very hospitable, but left you to enjoy the experience... This is a MUST visit place for relaxing in the country.... Thank you....

fabulous glamping experience!
2 lovely shepherds huts near Bethersden - very helpful and friendly hosts. Breakfast was delivered to our outside pantry - eggs, bacon, tomatoes, m/rooms, bread, butter, conserves, muesli & cereal. Brilliantly stocked inside with coffee, tea, cafeterie etc. Very comfortable bed, great location for local sightseeing. Thoroughly recommend.

A quiet little countryside getaway
Arrived to a warm welcome from our hosts who explained how everything in our Shepherd's Hut worked. The hut is exactly as we expected; clean, tidy, comfortable & homely. Super little tin of homemade cakes too. We have a table, chairs, barbecue and gas ring outside and views of open countryside. Birds singing & cows mooing and the odd whinny from nearby horses. Lovely. Peaceful. Breakfast was superb; choice of cereals, eggs, bacon, sausages, toast & marmalade, orange juice, tea & coffee. Ideally situated for so many of the vineyards and other Kentish attractions. Dinner at the Rose & Crown in nearby Pluckley was good too. A nice pub.

Idyllic hideaway
A perfect venue for a quiet birthday treat. Excellent accommodation, warm, clean, quiet and picturesque. Delicious fresh ingredients provided for self-catered breakfast/brunch. Would highly recommend and plan to stay again ourselves.
