Clean and quiet apartment on rue Paul Bert
The apartment was about 20 minutes walk from Lyon Part Dieu train station but I eventually found out there's C9 bus from rue F Mistral Maison Neuve stop near the apartment that takes you all the way to Bellecour via Part Dieu station V Merle in the heart of the city between the Saone & the Rhone where you could practically walk everywhere to Lyon's main attractions.There's also a Super U supermarket on rue F Mistral which is very convenient. The apartment is well equipped but the bunk bed need 1 day to get used to it.
Everything would have been just fine, but unfortunately there's a misunderstanding between the owner & the caretaker about my arrival time and as a result I could not gain access to the apartment on the first night & I had to check in to The Ibis Hotel Gare PD, This plus all the phone calls to and fro cost me an extra EU 114.00 & the owner kindly refunded me for 1 night which is about EU 36 but my insurance company advised that my policy probably doesn't cover this sort of incident.Quel domage !
If everything went according to plan I would have given a 4 stars rating for this place.
