Ideal location with lots to do in the area. Helpful hints in the house booklet were very useful e.g. what to take to a night market and then to have it all ready for us. The lake beach at Tamnies and Limeuil river beach were...More

Very impressive locale. Beautiful roomy renovated Perigord farmhouse. Surrounded by meadows with rabbits and deer. Just isolated enough for privacy, peace and quiet, but close enough to Les Ezyies and Sarlat for shopping, markets, and restaurants. Close to Lascaux and numerous pre-historical sites. Very well...More

About the neighbourhood
We have numerous fabulous restaurants in the area. Local cuisine and international cuisine. During the summer we also have night food markets, where you can eat dishes prepared by local vendors and eat them whilst enjoying the local wine and entertainment. Within walking distance of the house is a very nice campsite with a great bar/restaurant open to the public. There are also several auberges close by. The house is close to the lake of Tamnies with its lovely beach for swimming or just relaxing. Also nearby are the Dordogne and Vezere rivers and the canoeing both rivers have to offer. Commarque, Puymartin, Beynac, Castelnaud and numerous other chateaux are easily accessible from Langlade.
How to get there
Transportation of some kind is really needed here, but Langlade is close to all the sites and sights of the Dordogne. The closest community is Les Eyzies, where there is a train station. The house is just 20 minutes from Sarlat and Lascaux where you will find the new exhibition of the cave paintings. Nearest airports are Bergerac and Brive, but you are also within a reasonable distance of Limoge.
