Chipping Campden, Cotswolds, England
Sitting close to the heart of Chipping Campden amidst the hustle and bustle of this prime Cotswolds' 'honey pot town', Church Cottage is a welcoming home that offers spacious accommodation ideal for groups or families up to 4 people. Built at the turn of the century the cottage and showing many of the period features you would expect, this is a well furnished and tidy home. The heart of the building is very much the large, yet cosy and attractive, living room with its huge inglenook fireplace and old oak beams - warm all year round! Upstairs are two bedrooms and two bathroooms too.
The cottage, along with the others that make up the 'Church Cottages' were once part of the church, which is hardly surprising given that the impressive St James church sits on the other side of the road...! Given its town centre location,...

Overall pleasant stay in the cottage. Location is within one minute of the main street but just far enough that parking was less of a hassle. Parking was free, and we parked off the driveway that leads from the school. The location near the old church is beautiful, but do note that the bells ring every hour, 24 hours. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked with utensils, etc. Living room was great with the cozy fireplace and wood/tinder was provided which made it very easy. The caretaker lives next door if you run into issues. There were some minor issues that were addressed during our stay.
Also highly recommend dining at Michael's - wonderful food and warm people. Huxley's was also very good. There are easily accessible grocery stores in town as well.

Reviewed 21 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

We were delighted with the cottage. It was comfortable, well-equipped, and the location could not have been nicer or more convenient. We loved being across from the beautiful church, and the walk into town was easy and pleasant. It was especially fun watching the children coming and going from the comprehensive school just around the corner! Our main interest in Chipping Campden, besides its great beauty, is the arts and crafts movement that took flourished there in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Court Barn Museum was a big attraction for us.
We would definitely book this lovely cottage again.

About the neighbourhood
Chipping Campden is a beautiful historic town filled with charm and character, and rightly considered one of the Cotswolds finest and most attractive villages/towns. The Old Kettle Cottage location down the quiet end of the High Street makes it about a one minute walk away from the antique shops, pubs, restaurants and amenities that cover the location. We've always enjoyed our visits to Campden (as it is often called locally) and with plenty to do in the near vicinity, it's hard not to think of returning after your first visit. In fact Chipping Campden was recently voted the Nicest Village in England! Read more here in our Guide to Chipping Campden.

There are some superb walks literally from your front door, with Dover's Hill a favourite.
