Great getaway for two
We have used Barn Owl Cottage as a holiday base several times over the past decade. This time we have been living there on and off while house hunting. The cottage is small but convenient for two, with the most comfortable bed we have ever come across. For much of the year you can take tea on the patio to the song of skylarks in the fields all about. From the cottage you can walk over the fields to the Grand Union Canal, and all the way to Leamington. The splendid Hilltop Farm shop and cafe is just down the road, and Leamington is ten minutes away. Kenilworth Castle, Stratford on Avon, Compton Verney, and several National Trust properties are not far away. An excellent holiday base or getaway for two.

Cosy comfy and private
We stayed at Barn owl cottage for 4 nights. The cottage is very Private and comfortable with its own entrance. The kitchen looks out onto the owners forecourt but far away enough not be overlooked. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals etc. we didn’t use the lovely garden due to the weather but can imagine in warmer months it would be a lovely way to relax as it is also private and part of the cottage space. Our only recommendation is to provide more blankets as we found it quite cold. Overall this cottage is lovely and would recommend it.

A wonderful cottage in the Warwickshire countryside
I had a lovely week-long stay in Barn Owl Cottage. It is a self-contained small home that is perfect for two people, the garden is a beautiful extra and bigger than I expected. All the amenities were faultless- the wifi, TV, kitchenware etc. Clelia was a lovely host and was there for anything we needed. The location was great too, just outside Offchurch which is less than 10 minutes from the centre of Leamington Spa.

This rather cramped property could do with some TLC
Coming from abroad we wouldn’t have booked for 3 weeks had we known there was no WiFi which we take to be a basic requirement. Clean linen was available but only on request.

Dear Julie It was lovely to meet you both and thank you for your review. The cottage is perfect for a short stay, but guests staying for longer than a couple of weeks or wishing to use the sofa bed for an extra guest are always warned before booking, like yourself, that some people may find it too small. The cottage is in the middle of the countryside making internet connection extremely difficult. As such, WiFi/internet is not advertised anywhere on our webpages. We are sorry if this was a disappointment to you. For future guests, fibre optic has finally reached us so we will be able to provide WiFi in the near future once the cottage can be connected. We are always happy to provide clean sheets and towels. We hope you had a pleasant return journey. Kind regards Clelia Lovell

comfortable, peaceful getaway
Huge bed was very comfortable and kitchen had everything you would need. Simple route into Leamington Spa which we were surprised to find had much more of a town centre (lovely park) than neighbouring Warwick. If I had to suggest improvements then the fridge is a bit noisy, a footrest would be nice as the sofa is quite small and Wi-fi would be a bonus.

Ideal for a couple
Clelia, the owner, was very helpful and accommodating despite our short notice booking and change of plans. The cottage was perfect for a couple. It had everything we needed and was warm and cosy. The location is ideal for visiting Stratford and Leamington Spa.

Excellent location
A wonderful little cottage in the middle of the countryside. Very peaceful and quiet, the cottage contains everything that is needed for a "home from home". Clelia was there to greet us on arrival and to explain everything. If you are visiting the Leamington/Warwick/Kenilworth area then this cottage is the perfect place for a base,

A lovely little cottage in beautiful countryside
Barn Owl Cottage is an ideal place for two people to spend a few days visiting this part of Warwickshire. It is very well equipped and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. It is conveniently situated on the Fosse Way with easy access to the M40 and to other parts of Warwickshire. We would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting this part of the country.

excellent stay
Barn Owl Cottage is nicely furnished and decorated all in great taste. Located just outside Leamington Spa so convenient for the shops and cafes and resurants but also just a 30 minute drive to The Cotswolds and even less to Shakespeares Stratford. The owners are most helpful and friendly leaving some tea, coffee and milk for arrival. The heating system worked to perfection, the evenings in November can be chilly but that was irrelevant as the heating took care of that. Though the cottage is a tad on the wee side the bedroom is magnificent with a huge bed that is as comfortable as one would want. We have been back since and can recommend Barn Owl Cottage. D K

Cute and comfortable cottage
We were visiting our daughter in Warwick, so this was a very good base for us. The cottage is small but has everything you might need. We were warm and cosy and slept very well in the extremely comfortable bed also helped by being situated in such peaceful surroundings. Hope to return in the summer when we can enjoy the lovely garden and walk to local pub.
