Quaint and charming townhouse close to city center. Nice neighborhood and easy walk to all public transportation, shopping and night life. Loved the private garden off the kitchen. A very relaxing atmosphere and well furnished townhouse. Would stay here anytime we're in Dublin.

Interaction with guests
I will meet guests on arrival and explain all that is necessary to know about the house and the locality. I am happy to provide all the advice and assistance I can for guests to make their visit to Dublin as enjoyable and memorable as possible. When I have handed over the keys I generally allow guests their privacy for the duration of their stay. I can be contacted by mobile phone 24 hours a day and if required I can usually be at the house within a short space of time.

About the neighbourhood
The area is part of 'Georgian Dublin' with houses that date back to the 1700's. Mountjoy Square, one of the city's original Georgian squares is located nearby. This house dates from 1864 - 'Victorian Period'. As one would expect in an area of this vintage the profile of the local population is mixed and is ever changing. Many have lived here for generations. In more recent times the area has attracted young professionals and students from the nearby colleges of Technology, Law, and English. There is a sizable immigrant population - particularly eastern Europeans. The city center boundary is just around the corner and the city's main street with all the top stores, bars and restaurants is a ten-minute walk away.
Getting around
O' Connell Street, the city's main street is just a ten-minute walk from the house. Alternatively, a tram from nearby Broadstone will get you there in five minutes. From O'Connell Street, one can take a bus, tram, or train to most parts of the city as well as to other parts of Ireland. 'DART' - the city light rail service - can be boarded near O'Connell Bridge. This serves coastal towns and villages for several miles north and south of the city center. All the city tour buses run from O'Connell Street and day tours to other destinations of interest can be booked at Tourist Offices in the city center. The Airport Express Bus runs at regular intervals from O'Connell Street. Journey time to the airport is about 30 minutes.
